Meh i didnt like it. it was all ruined by TDKR for me. It was cool at first but when the dark knight rises came out and I found out he's been hold up in his house for 8 yrs it ruined that ending for me. But I get where your coming from though it is a good ending but for me personally I thought it was ruined.

That's exactly how I felt, I took the ending of TDK as him being hunted by cops for those Murders but still being Batmans because... He's fricken Batman.

Then TDKR came along and revealed that he quit at the end of TDK.

I'm not a big DC fan but if there's one thing I know it's that Bruce Wayne is Batman and will always be Batman until he can no longer function as Batman.

Saw this movie twice in 2 days... I can see why some would not enjoy it. personally I feel that electro was the writers/directors main villain objective but was instantly overshadowed by goblin... that goblin was ****ing awesome, Dane Dehaan killed it. they could have cut about 20 mins of fluff but 2:20 flew by pretty good.

And I really liked how rhino was handle as more of a minor thing (really hate the design though). And the one scene that collapsed my lungs was just heart wrenching. I was pretty shocked that they didnt do a quick cut away or anything, the fact the camera followed the whole thing was pretty awesome in my book.

Overall I really loved this movie. and the way spiderman moved and performed all the web slinging **** was just un parralled. This is probably my new favorite superhero movie.

Yea I feel like if they would just focus on electro and electro only we would of had better acclaim.

I think it would have been better to set up Green Goblin then have him go after spidey in part 3 with the sinister six.

@LipSmack I definitely agree DeHaan was great, just wish he'd had more time. What's you opinion on the other major superhero flicks from past years?

What they did with him was pretty much all that could be done... The fights were cool but theres not much else they could have shown us.

They could have made him more of a sympathetic character, make the audience care about him and really understand why he goes off the deep end, the movie didn't do such a great job at that but I forgave most of his characterization problems because visually, he looked awesome when he became Electro.

I kind of agree with giving him more time... maybe they could have lengthened his arc and played up the friendship a bit more (really it was only the rock skipping scene) I have been pretty hyped up over them in past years, a lot of them have hit the right notes, Iron man will always hold a place in my heart but I really want to scrub my memory of Iron man 3 :lol it was straight up garbage. Marvel has done a really great job, Fox not so much, Xmen has been twisted and turned so many times that I really dont care for the movies at all anymore... Ill watch the new x men but I know I wont get anything out of it, next movie will be a largely new cast and screw it up more. DC's been pretty good too, but I think thats all Nolan... MOS was decent, Zod is what made that movie for me, totally got behind him

They did do that... from meeting spidey in the opening, to his apartment with all the spidey stuff and talking to himself, smythe, co workers etc.. all treating him as a nobody and mocking him. Then comes the times square scene and he was scared and misunderstood yadah yadah, then felt betrayed... and got angry. Then poked and prodded in a lab... I think they did a really good job at showing his transformation. and yes he looked incredible... and the heavy bass that accompanied him was just awesome

So he is sympathetic to the audience almost exclusively because we see more of his transformation, But theres a point where he just goes off the deepend, which is good because we dont need another sandman

60% drop in box office gross from week one . . . word of mouth about this mediocre franchise extender is quickly sinking its take.

Lucky to reach above $200 million domestically at this point, though its foreign take is huge.

Maybe with all this new money, Sony can afford to send Mark Webb to film school! :lol

I know they did, but they could have done a better job at it, make it almost reminiscent of Peter Parker's life in Spider-Man 2, sometimes Max's weirdness (which came off as funny) overshadowed the pity we should feel. It's a minor complaint for me though as I thoroughly enjoyed the whole film, and loved what Foxx did with Electro, he could have been written a little better though in my opinion.

Just proves America's retarded downward spiral is continuing. Countries over and done with.

Fair enough man

@Lipsmack I think the combination of me disliking Electro and disliking the tone shifts involved with him basically ruined the entire film for me. And I mean for me, as in, I couldn't enjoy it anymore because of it.

Kinda bummed out about it, there's great stuff in this, but there's too much that ruins it for me, mostly Electro and the Parents setup. I guess nice for those who did enjoy it. I feel a little bad about this film because I still believe there was a lot of sincere intent and genuine heart in it. I just feel Electro was in the way he was done misplaced in this film as is the whole parents angle from both films. I really wish I could just have a fusion of ASM1 and 2 and have the lizard without the dumb plot, just as someone being misused by Oscorp and have the rest be peter, gwen and harry and I would've love it to death. I liked ASM1 more than most I'd say and I hoped this film would be the one spider-man film I've always been waiting for... I loved almost everything about MoS though, which I hadn't expected either, you gain some you lose some I guess...:dunno

Yeah the whole parents thing was way overdone in this... it could have been resolved in ASM1 or even in a couple minutes in this one... I did enjoy the little things too though, like Smythe and Felicia... though I think their relying way too much on oscorp t bring all these characters together
