Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

Yea he's not a bad actor, I think he's just getting too old, and Sam was doing the same plot thing in every movie.

Parker didn't want to be Spidey anymore

He Stops and things go well

A villain becomes that way because of a tragedy

Mary Jane gets kidnapped

Parker is Spidey again and the villain commmits suicide.

Plus it sounded like it was getting bat ____ at the end there, with Vultress rumors and no Dylan Baker getting to actually become his villain.

I definitely see your point. I guess I just wish they would have given it one last shot, especially after all of the criticism that SM3 got.

R.I.P. Tobey.

You will always be my Spider-Man. :monkey2

Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

That is probably not that far off....there is already a Batman XXX shooting right now.

Wow she actually looks like Julie Newmar.

I mean even Hollywood replaces qualified actresses for big boobed ones, I'm impressed already. :lol

Not So Fast! Logan Lerman No Longer A 'Spider-Man' Contender?

Posted 7 hrs ago by Josh Wigler in Marvel, News

Well, that was fast — Logan Lerman might not be Peter Parker, after all.
Just 48 hours after the initial story broke, Deadline is debunking a report from earlier this weekend suggesting that "Percy Jackson & The Olympians" star Logan Lerman was "almost 100% locked" for the lead in the upcoming "Spider-Man" reboot. In fact, according to the site's sources within Sony, the actor is not only not a lock — he's out of the running altogether.
"These sources were very definitive in denying the story, and were sure that Logan was 100% not going to be Spidey and that he is not on the list of candidates being seriously considered for the new film," reports Deadline.
If this latest report is true, then Lerman is no longer in contention to swing into the production of the iconic superhero's impending revival.
Lerman's name has been tossed around in connection to "Spider-Man" practically since word of a reboot first dropped earlier this year, due to his own comments that he was "in talks" to star in the superhero franchise. He later played down the talk in an interview with MTV News, saying that "it's a role that any young actor is dying to play and I'm just hoping to be considered."
With these two conflicting reports, it's hard to know exactly what the deal is with Lerman in connection to the "Spider-Man" reboot — except to say that at the moment, nothing is definitive in either direction.
Do you think Lerman is out of the running for "Spider-Man," or does the "Percy Jackson" star still have a shot at the role? Tell us your take in the comments and on Twitter!

Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

I'm not liking any of the candidates so far. Hope they cast an unknown for Spidey...

Is there any chance for a fourth movie to come out this/next year?

Josh Hutcherson In The Running For Spider-Man?

Posted 8 hrs ago by Josh Wigler in Marvel, News

Logan Lerman better watch out, because another "Spider-Man" contender is swinging into the picture in the form of Josh Hutcherson.
The "Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant" actor is in the running to star as Peter Parker in Sony's planned reboot of the "Spider-Man" franchise, according to IESB. If cast, Hutcherson would take over the role played famously by Tobey Maguire in three Sam Raimi-directed films.
Director Marc Webb will helm the film based on a screenplay from James Vanderbilt. The story reportedly draws inspiration from Brian Michael Bendis' "Ultimate Spider-Man" comic book series, which was just announced as the basis for a new animated series.

Like Lerman, Hutcherson is a relatively unknown actor. Beyond "The Vampire's Assistant," Hutcherson has been featured in "Iron Man 2" director Jon Favreau's "Zathura" and the Brendan Fraser-starring "Journey to the Center of the Earth." He'll soon be seen in the upcoming remake of "Red Dawn" alongside "Thor" leading man Chris Hemsworth.
But Hutcherson is far from a lock for the role of Peter Parker, as IESB notes that the actor is just one of likely several candidates on an alleged "short list" to play the teenage web-slinger. Certain sources believe that the role is Logan Lerman's to lose, while other sources claim that the "Percy Jackson & The Olympians" star is already out of the running.
With a planned release date of July 2012, we're bound to unmask the wall-crawler's secret identity soon enough.
Tell us what you think of Hutcherson as a possible Peter Parker candidate in the comments section and on Twitter!
