Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

Why does this need to happen again?!

We don't need a reboot every 5 years of a franchise. We just need good solid sequels. Money grubbing whores beating franchises to death. I think that the Spider-Man film franchise has been the strongest comicbook to film trilogy in like forever.

In short, cause Sam and Sony couldn't get along.

(Sony would not let him have TOTAL control)

Well SONY does have great ideas..like say trying to squeeze in Venom in the third film since he was so popular...Only to miscast him, underuse him, and totally ruin a film that would have been solid with Sandman himself.

Sony sucks.

Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

That wasn't Sony. That was Avi Arad and he is still involved.

Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

WHAT no toby maguire thats gonna be ____e but if the villian is carnage or venom then i can't complain :D.

Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

I would bet that the villain for the "Reboot" will be a Silver Age villain redeco'd for the new millennium. 90% it'll be Green Goblin.

Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

I hope the reboot doesn't have any of the villains from the first three films - but I'm also betting for Green Goblin again. :(

Hoping that at the least, his costume is better. :lol

Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

I'm actually betting against the Goblin for the first Film. To set him up for the second. I'm thinkin they may go with someone like Mysterio Or Kraven, Possibly even Shocker. (but i would love to see another take on the goblin, even though Dafoe was awesome as Norman)

Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

Ugh not the green goblin he sucks as a spidy villain the best from the movies was dr octupis anywho i think shocker would be cool.

Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

It possible they go against the grain and save GG for second film similar to how Nolan stayed away from The Joker in BB to introduce him in TDK. I don't think this Spider-Man film will be that sophificated but its a possibility. Since this first one at minimum will take place wihle Pete is still IN high school look for a villain that can be obviously inserted into that world or have some sort of connection to it. Kraven, Shocker, Mysterio I don't see really being able to fold into a high school connection easily. GG was easy being Harry's dad so look for something like that...

With that thinking then I'm going for Lizard as the villian. Then they will have the similar stories of Peter becoming a spider and his highschool science teacher becoming a lizard.

Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

Definitely possibility, I didn't think of writing Connors as his High School teacher instead of college, it'd be definitely doable. I hope they give it Dylan Baker then because that guy was in 3 films with no payoff.

Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

They could always go the route were Norman's shady business habits are disrupted by Spiderman. Norman upset hires / creates a character to take out Spiderman. The character discover's Spiderman's secret identity and relays to Norman. The seeds of Goblin are brewing for the second film while somehow the villian expires in the first film.

Norman enraged by a multitude of failures and Spiderman's interference creates the Goblin to handle busines himself in the second film. Blah, blah, blah.

Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

That's definitely one thing I don't want, killing of villains. Why that sounds like a good idea in every Superhero film I'll never know. Its like the writers/directors are saying "No one else can play with my toys!"
