Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Loved the new trailer, really looking forward to this movie. However, im a little unnerved by all the shots of Spiderman without his mask on. I hope thats all just one scene and doesnt take up too much of the movie, i HATED the scene's in the Raimi films where he kept taking his mask off all the time. It got to the point where he may as well have just not bothered putting it on.

Still, very excited for this. Hope it lives up to my expectations. :)

The coolest part of the trailer is when Captain Stacy pulls of his mask and he whoops all their arses! :yess:

I was a little on the fence about this one (was still going to see it regardless) but after the new trailer I must admit I'm really looking forward to it now.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

This trailer didn't get me as throbbing rock hard as the Avengers one, but I think I still shot a tiny string of webfluid.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Finally got around to seeing the trailer and I have to say I already like it more than that Raimi/Maguire versions. Spidey looks fantastic flipping and swinging around and Garfield definitely reminds me of comic book Spidey more than Maguire ever did.

The suit is a dead horse but I liked the way it looked on screen.

If Captain Stacy makes it through this first one, I could see Doctor Octopus being the villain for the second film because he in the books kills him and it creates serious strife for Peter and Gwen because she blames and hates Spider-Man for it and he obviously "defends" him. I have a feeling that if Ock is in the second he'll be connected to Oscorp as well.

I wouldn't be shocked if we saw Norman in the second but didn't see Goblin until the third, that is if we don't see him here.

I loved the Raimi films, but I don't feel I need to take an either or position. This one looks pretty damn cool.

I don't think this will happen considering Gwen knows that Spider-Man and Peter are one in the same.

The only thing I liked about the trailer was the bit in the back seat of the car with the burglar. That was pure Spider-Man. Some of the shots looked great too. I also liked the shot of him in the sewers? On the web. That reminded me of the comics.

Other than that, it looks just like the older films except with a new cast, a new story and darker cinematography. Spider-Man swinging through New York still looks as "fake" as it did in the previous films. I can tell when it's a CGI Spider-Man or a stunt guy/Garfield in the suit. The suit doesn't look as bad when it's in motion but it still looks like ass. Hopefully Spider-Man is constantly moving around so all we see are red and blue blurs.

Also surprised so many are quick to proclaim that this beats the hell out of the previous installments when it appears to have the same "problems" that the Raimi films did. Looks like he'll be unmasked (everyone _____ed about this before, but now it's in front of the NYPD with search lights on his face) and quite a few people will know his identity (atleast Gwen and Connors). It seems that the only real difference other than what I mentioned above is the story subplot (OMG, teh Parkers worked for Oscorp, made webbing and knew Dr. Connors) and a "darker" look.
