Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

While I'm not super enthused yet. I do have to admit that Garfield and Stone seem much more engaging than Maguire and Dunst. I really didn't like Dunst as Mary Jane but I think it probably had more to do with the writing than her acting. She was too much of a sad sack. I also got fed up with how she got captured and needed to be rescued at the end of every movie. It got pretty repetitive.
Emma Stone's Gwen Stacy seems more to make more sense to me then Bryce Dallas Howard did but again it probably had more to do with the writing than her acting.
I think if they had waited a few more years to reboot I would have been more excited.
I really wish Spider-Man 3 had been two movies with the third focusing on the Sandman story and a fourth film dealing with Venom and resolving the Harry Osborn stuff.

Wait...wait a minute....Let me sit back for a sec and soak in the fact that We're getting a Spiderman and Batman movie in the same year......................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................:panic::hi5::yess::clap:rock

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Woa I guess you got offended :lol

TDKR:
"Mini" Bane

AMZ:
Lizard

There's no competition in the villian department.

PLUS, I can understand everything Spiderman and The Lizard will say. Bane and Batman? I'll laugh at their ridiculous voices even if there's a slight chance they can be understood.

Nolan still can't make a decent 1 on 1 fight scene in the first place.

Let me know when they make a Batman who can actually do some impressive fighting, cuz "elbow/neck chop man" isn't cutting it anymore. Give me The Batman from The Comics/Arkham City.

- 3 Lord of the Rings films

- 3 Spider-Man films

- 4 Modern Marvel Hero films (1 Hulk, 2 Iron Man, 1 Thor, 1 Captain America)

- 6 Alien films

- 6 Batman films

Every "new" film that has yet to be released is all ____ I've seen before. If I use my imagination and sit in a dark theater I've essentially seen TDKR, The Hobbit, Prometheus, The Avengers and The Amazing Spider-Man.

The Avengers is just Iron Man II remade. :dunno

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

So I just checked out the new trailer.....And WOW. Wow. Wow. And wow.

I'll admit I was skeptical from the very beginning, but I am now 100% on-board. This is how you hype a movie!!! I'm already more impressed with this Spider-Man film than I am the Avengers film.

Yes, that's me being a bit presumptive and I could be totally wrong when both hit theaters and I see them first hand. But Spider-Man's movement in action, the web-shooters, the Lizard, everything about it screams...well, amazing!

As I mentioned above, I'm really impressed with seeing how Spider-Man moved. It sounds simple enough, but just the sheer agility of him from what I saw in the trailer far surpassed Raimi's version. He just acts and moves more like the Spider-Man I used to read about in the comics.

Well done so far, Sony.

I'll make a case for The Avengers though because it'll be the first, ultimate "hero team up" film of different comic characters (not counting the X-Men). That's something different and unique.

Makes me wonder where are the other big guns like Superman, Star Wars, etc. are at?

"A viral website is hidden in the new trailer

By now, you've most likely seen the midnight reveal of the brand-new trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man. What you may not have seen, however, was the message hidden in the metallic webs at the end that read "Mark of the Spider-Man."

Collider managed to spot the clue and uncovered the viral website MarkoftheSpider-man.com which, at the moment, seems to consist solely of six static screens marked in the HTML as "cities." We're not sure what it means or if there are more clues out there to uncover, but you can click on the below image to check it out.

The film, meanwhile, is set for release on July 3rd and stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Irrfan Khan, with Martin Sheen and Sally Field. Directed by Marc Webb, The Amazing Spider-Man arrives with a screenplay written by James Vanderbilt, based on the Marvel Comic Book by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko."
