Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Pretty good. I still don't give a ____ about his parents "mystery" and wonder why we need that (never read Ultimate Spidey, if that's where this comes from) but even being a Raimi fan I think Garfield is pulling it off, Emma Stone is exponentially more appealing than Dunsty, and the swinging looks great...a little more visceral than last time, which I like.

If they go with the "you're an experiment your parents started" type thing then...I dunno. Don't think it needs that. But a good movie is a good movie...if it's good nobody will care about the particulars.

My gut tells me this can't be good. But the Lizard has a tail and wears a lab coat. That's hard to hate.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

New trailer blew batman's trailer away. Sorry but true.

Let the record show, ladies and gentlemen of the jury, that ironwez20's word will be held as the truth.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Spidey has always been young. It's part of his great history as a character. So what if other Super Heros are based in their late 30's.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Verrrry bad trailer... Like if I watchd the movie review...
Also pretty lame visuals, Raimi's dilogy already looks better even tho it was made in 2002/2004.

So far story and humor are the only hope for this flick.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Looks good. So did the trailer for SM3... So I'm not 100% sold on anything. I do think this is more of an exciting trailer than TDKR. Nothing about TDKR's marketing has got me pumped. The names Christopher and Jonathon Nolan are what get me excited... I like that the marketing isn't as crazy as it was for TDK. My expectations aren't sky high that way.

Enough with Batman. Just addressing the above debate. Onto Spidey and this newest trailer. I don't get this whole mystery of his parents... Seems forced and unneeded. Especially if they and Connors are somehow linked to him becoming Spider-Man. That's a vibe I got from it. That's as bad as Joker killing Bruce's parents in B89! I just want fricking Spider-Man going around saving the world instead of spending so much time on the origin again.

If the Batman reboot does this same approach, I'll be pissed. Batman Begins was revolutionary but all these reboots and "realistic" approaches are getting old. I think that is best saved for Batman (a man without powers). Embrace the fantastic for all things Marvel!

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

I find the visuals in this to be a little too dark and neon'y... if you get what I mean. Doesn't seem to suit the character that much.

Time will tell I guess.

I do like the casting for Parker, and it would be cool to see the Lizard I guess

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Looks a shyyt-ton better than the Raimi flicks............So far!

I lol@ PP on the skateboard doing tricks but i guess it's 2012 already. I hate that were getting origin again to, but just gotta deal with it and the next one we won't have to deal with it.

It's got me intrigued.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Wall to wall CGI. That Facebook fella is prolly hardly in it, as Spidey anyway.
