Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Verrrry bad trailer... Like if I watchd the movie review...
Also pretty lame visuals, Raimi's dilogy already looks better even tho it was made in 2002/2004.

So far story and humor are the only hope for this flick.

I love how you just disregard SM3. :hi5:

That's it, void. It's too dark. I feel NYC needs to be brighter and more colorful to compliment Spidey's sense of humor. Gotham can be dark and brooding to match Batman's dark psychological nature.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

PP's parents thing does nothing for me. (but i'm sick of origin and know they had to try something new) Otherwise, it looks pretty damn good.

Garfield getting it done! Spidey humor looks much better.

how thick are your glasses?

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Fight scenes look cook, but I'm still getting an Anakin Skywalker vibe from Garfield. :monkey1

:lol From what i've seen, The Lizard is the most intimidating villian Spiderman has had on screen so far. It seems like no matter where Spiderman goes or what ceiling he climbs, He's right there behind him.....And he looks like a gigantic monster ready to rip his head off. Venom could've been like that.....UGH thanks for screwing up my favorite Spiderman villian. I really appreciate that.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

All i know is in the sequel i hope they got PP in a job or post college. I'm sick of the HS crap. Loved reading the comics when Pete had to work, pay rent, be spidey, love his woman etc. ( i guess you can do those things as a kid but...)

Seeing as how Andrew is around 30 i would think that be the route they go.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

I find the visuals in this to be a little too dark and neon'y... if you get what I mean. Doesn't seem to suit the character that much.

Yep, but also too monotonous, artificial and in the end just pale and dull.
Nor realistic, nor comic, nor cartoonish... Maybe it's how modern teenagers see the world? I'm lost :lol

Yeah the visuals are coming across as very fake looking. I think its mostly the lighting, looks like they just put spotlights on everything and shot in the dark, then added a ton of CGI

Just looks 'off'

It's all down to the story for this film really.

Well, the visuals in The Dark Knight Rises come across as rather average no matter how real they may be, so it'll be up to the story to make it worth watching :dunno

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Apparently there's two trailers. The one linked to the official web site shows Spiderman tumbling down the building after jumping off the satellite, whiile the ones on youtube don't have it.

UPDATE

heres the slightly extended one

Never noticed it until it was spelled out to me here. That's awful! The narration sounds like little Ani's tirade about sand. :monkey4

In all honesty, this movie doesn't look bad. It's just the fact that it's a reboot that has me so bitter. If there weren't already two movies of the character I owned and loved, I would be all about this.

Just looks at the Raimi ones as classic old school PP/SM. And this new one as a modern take.

(cause that's what it comes down to)

Yup. :lol Which means Pixletwin will have a boner for this movie. :lecture:lecture:lecture

Honestly, for once, I'm with OSCORP on this. Like Hulk, Spidey's origin can easily be told through the Marvel scrawl during the opening credits. There's no need to retell it again. Most of us can already tell the "untold" part is likely some made-up ____ they threw into the all too familiar "with great power" origin to "legitimize" the Lizard anyway. :monkey1
