Thats what i'd definitely prefer, but im wondering if they might skip him just because they know carnage took on the form of his father and killed gwen........also because he was last seen in Spiderman 3.....:monkey2:mad:

I loved Ultimate Spider-Man, was good to read a modern version of him in school.

I think The Lizard is gonna be up there or surpassing Doc Ock in giving Spidey the most challenge so far of the villains

Saw the trailer in imax 3D. This is a perfect movie for 3D, can't wait to see the full movie.

That's one of the major things everybody hated about Ang Lee's Hulk. Why the hell do they feel the need to ____ with his origin? :mad:

So instead, we're going to sit in the theatres and choke on another origin story that'll take up 3/4 of the movie and somehow wind Lizard into the last act as a means to move the plot vs. making him the main antagonist which I'm guessing will be Parker himself (i.e. hero's biggest enemy is himself and his inability to accept his transformation). Meanwhile everybody involved will tout how great it is and the comic fans will despise it. Looking forward to the reboot in a few years telling yet another origin story because Columbia won't sell Marvel back their hero. :monkey1

WHOOT! Still catching it in the theatres, but no longer going in optimistic. At this point I think I'm looking more forward to the new Joe flick. :lol

Been my problem since day 1. Why they needed to re-tell the origin is beyond me.

Everyone knows it. You could still add the parents stuff as a backstory, not even a big deal.

Are u guys serious ? A hulk green goblin ? An over powered spidey. A goth Gwen Stacy. Not to mention everyone and there mother knew who spiderman was. I know it's a different universe but I just didn't like it.

No! Not until venom gets a proper moment on screen then they can go crazy. Venom didn't even get a chance really. He just was lurking around and screeching the whole fight.

Have you read Spidey comics before Venom was introduced? I ask because any self respecting Spidey fan knows Venom is not the be all and end all of Spidey villains.

I'd personally prefer to see Mysterio, Scorpion, Kraven, Vulture, Rhino, Shocker, Elektro etc first. Venom had his chance. Hell I'd rather see Doc Oc and Green Goblin again before Venom. I'd love to see Kingpin also.

I just got a bunch of free viral swag in the mail!!!! This is awesome!!! :rock I can't take pics at the moment, but I got a Wanted poster similar to that given out earlier this year at Wonder-Con, but I also got a very cool 'poster' from 'Jerera's Gym' is a Lucha Lubra 'ONE NIGHT ONLY' poster, all in Spanish. With a huge pic of Spidey's mask done in what looks like a 'water-color like' finish.

Anyone else?

Just found a note too....Basically says...the roof caved at 'Jerera's Gym' because of Spider-Man. We're sending you a poster as evidence, along with a wanted poster.
