Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Have nothing against showing too much with this one. Have watched every trailer, TV spot, featurette and srsly ready to judge this film as an artistic picture, forgetting the fact that I am a fan of the characters.

You in any way think this movie will be better then the previous films judging by what you saw .

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

The more I read about it, the more I want this movie to be good because I think it could lead to some good movies and you can never have too many good comic book movies!

I just have a sneaky feeling it will disappoint though.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

"are you really gonna stay there after what i just told you!?"

very whedon-esque. i like it. :)

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

The negativity of some towards this movie is quite astonishing. The trailers have been nothing but brilliant. The Spidey scenes already look better than the previous movies. I get the feeling some people are just born to be trolls.

...and some to be polesquatters.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Some people just wait to see a movie before jumping one way or the other. ;)

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

I'm not seeing this "brilliance" in the trailers. So far the Amazing Spiderman trailers have been the most underwhelming of the year for me.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

I don't understand why they kept the "WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOS" while swinging. That was probably the worst part of the Raimi films. :monkey1

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

I'm not the one who has concluded that this won't be as good as part 1 or 2 but has a chance to beat part 3. As someone who has actually read Spider-man I can with some authority say that the Spidey scenes are more in keeping with the character and the few scenes where he is a smart ass is also in keeping with the comics. So it's already on the right track. This might turn out to be a turd or it might turn out to be a great comicbook adaptation. Why don't you at least wait until you have seen it.

Do me a favor. Scroll back and show me the post where I said I had zero intentions of seeing this film. When you find that post, by all means, continue to rub that hardon on me. When you don't, and you won't, ____ off and have a nice day. :wave :lol

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

I do agree that there are way too many scenes being leaked or released. I'm not going to look at any more of these. You would wonder what the studio is thinking releasing all of these unseen scenes.

Your obviously a child as your as you have not quite comprehended how to read. If you can point out where i said you were not going to see this by all means do. LOL. But you have concluded it won't beat 1 or 2 without having seen the entire movie. Feel free to put me on your ignore as I'll be sure to do the same. Your posts are not worth reading.

Some People act as if there has to be one superhero to dismiss as bad in order to like the others :dunno

Adding up all these clips probably amounts to only about 10-15 minutes in a 120 minute film

What brilliance?

I mean, first, it's too soon for a full 100% reboot. That's a fact.

Spider-Man 3, despite sucking, could've still moved on and had at least 1 or two more. The story wasn't over, like Batman's will be.

Second of all, it's another origin story for a character who we ALREADY explored that with in the first flick. I mean, they're going to try and make it different...but why? The outcome will always be the same. He gets bit, and becomes Spider-Man. Just because he got Ang Lee'ed, doesn't make interesting again.

Three, it doesn't look good. The trailers are cool, but they're trailers. They are designed to mislead you, so you can buy their product. And while the trailer looks cool, none of the actual clips are any good.

The acting is pretty awful, and everything Spidey says is just....well, horrible. I'm down for Spidey being corny, but that cop scene is just so....dull.

I know they wanted to do it practical, but I don't think it works. It doesn't feel real to me. Even though it is. I had much more fun in Raimi's flicks where I saw a CGI Spidey flying through the city.

It'll just look so limited to see him on wires and stuff.

And finally, the fact that people are already calling the older films obsolete just because this one exists. Which I find silly. It's the little kid with his new toy mentality. OHHH I LOVE MY TOY. OH A NEW TOY? OH I LOVE THE NEW TOY, OLD TOY SUCKS.

I'm going to laugh when this film is worse then Spider-Man 3. :lol

Oh, and the music is awful. James Horner is good, but he's not great. I mean even Aliens is just an offshoot of Khan. But it's not his fault. He had no time.

But that doesn't excuse Avatar sounding an awful lot like Titanic. :monkey1

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

The only thing I'm REALLY liking about this movie so far are Spiderman's movements actually.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Firstly the fact that we are seeing that Peter Parker is a scientist, he is a smart ass and the Spidey sequences are more fluid than the previous movies.

So what if we already know who he becomes Spidey. Nolan was successful with Batman. I cannot see why this cannot also succeed. Besides we have a different villain in this movie.

Your synopsis on trailer misleading the viewer is nonsense as that argument could be used with every single film. Where exactly are you being mislead in the Spidey trailers?

I'll hold judgement on the dialogue until I've seen the entire movie. Once you see Promethus (which I enjoyed) you can discuss corny dialogue.

The fact that you are going to "laugh" if this fails says it all really.

Enjoy Promethus BTW.

first off, you need to go look up the definition of fact, cause you seem to not know what it means.

why is everybody so ________ that this is a reboot? what difference does it make? the fact that they have a clean slate to start from is a benefit in my book. going back to high school and completely erasing the bull____ that happened in the last 3 films is a positive for me. what "story" were you hoping to be finalized from the originals that havent been?

i can forgive having to retell the origin again. if thats the price i have to pay to get rid of the continuity of the last films so be it.

opinion

im willing to bet that you dont even know whats cg, whats practical, and whats blended between the two.

and finally, i dont think this movie should make the last ones obsolete. they have two completely different styles. i prefer what i see from this one. i dont like raimi's style. never have, never will. and dont get me started on the dialogue from the first 3..........
