Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Batman is so much more anticipated than this film. Spidey has two weeks tops IMO.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

This is arguably a 1c Spider-Man in terms of what's my favourite, to the Sam Raimi Spider-Man 1b and Spider-Man 2 1a. All three films are that close, but that may change in time upon a repeat viewing. Loved a lot of the new creative camera perspectives they tried out, and boy oh boy does Emma Stone look hot in a mini skirt and knee socks! She wears that number a lot throughout the film. Super sexed up! I think that this movie is very similar to the first one, and therefore it is not really an improvement from the original Raimi 2002 Spider-Man flick. I would say it's simply an alternate version. There are far too many similarities between each, with subtle differences and tweaks here and there, to make it stand on its own merit. One more thing, it does borrow an element from its 2004 sequel with Doc Oct.

It's definitely not a huge difference from Tim Burton's 1989 Batman and Christopher Nolan's 2008 adaption, but I am glad I got to see it at a special IMAX 3D screening for free!

P.S. Loved how Spidey moves more in this film vs. Raimi's variety. The costume looks nice too.

I have a feeling that Tdkr will disapoint. you cant one up the joker with Bane i'm sorry but you cant. The dark knight was such a perfect batman movie for me anyway and the dark knight rises well that just looks like batman meets inception. Hope im wrong.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

He's gotta get it in before TDKR's released and gets spanked by Spidey's box office because people prefer an upbeat funny superhero to an EMO crybaby with daddy issues who gets his ass handed to him by a bald midget with an athletic cup over his face. :huh

Why diss batman ? Batman isnt emo he's just a sociopath.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Joker or not, TDK was still one of the biggest films of the last 12 years, and since Nolan is a household name, the movie will do fine. Even if it sucks.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Anyone who hopes this flops is not a Spider-man fan. I've seen the movie and it's excellent. Give it a chance and stop with the unnecessary comparisons with other characters and franchises. It's tiresome and childish. I'm going again on Tuseday. And I'll go and see the TDKRs and I hope I love it too and that both movies make alot of money.

I've been saying this for months.

Good thing i'm not a Spider-Man fan....:lol

I only care about the movies. :lol

I liked Prometheus too even with all of its faults. I still don't see the reason other to come into this thread to have a go at this movie and people who are interested in it at every opportunity.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

So glad this is going in a better direction than the Raimi movies. And it's getting almost all good reviews. Looks like they succeeded in making a GOOD start to SPIDER-MAN.

The sequel will be where it's at though...Mark my words!

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Oh for sure now that he is settled in the sequel should be spectacular.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man
