Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Honestly, I don't know how far it would go without Avi Arad coming in again. Probably after this one.

I bet they'll throw Venom in the next one. Despite the ending scene.

You're probably right on the money with that one

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

I mean, it would be nice if the next film, they get some good writers, a better director (sorry, but since I don't know Webb yet, I have no opinions yet, but from what I've seen...eh. ), and they get the best actor to play Green Goblin, then it could work.

But the writer and director are key. They need to make a film that is so vastly different from this film, and the Raimi movies if they want to keep this going. Hell, go for the goofy face mask....or make him an actual mutated monster (Green Goblin). I'm curious what's next.

Have you actually seen the movie or do you always make assumptions? Christ just watch the movie. Webb has done a fine job. Every time you post on the subject of Spider-man I'm reminded of the fact you have never read the comic.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

One, it ain't out yet. So I can't. All I can do is make assumptions. :lol Unless there's a bootleg running around. Link please. :lol

Two, so what? If the movie requires me to read the comic, then it failed. It has to work for people who don't read them. And I won't. Movie has to stand on it's own merits.

And it being close to the comics is also good.
