It isn't difficult to accept that you prefer it. It just isn't a better movie. There's no accounting for taste.

That is your opinion. As someone who as read ASM since the 70's I have an emotional connection to the character. This movie transported me back to the days when I was 6-7 reading my first ASM adventure. So for me based on that achievement by Webb to activate the emotion from the 70's it is a better movie for me personally. I have no emotional connection to Batman. As a Marvel comics book reader I prefer Daredevil.

I've enjoy Nolans second BM movie very much but I would classify it as a crime thriller similar to Heat another movie I love. I'm very much looking forward to seeing his conclusion but more I am looking forward more to his next original idea.

So would i, i certainly wouldn't classify it a superhero film. i'm not a hardcore batfan, but after Begins TDK seemed a completely different film type.

It says gotham but has nothing "gotham" about it, no Wayne Manor, nor Narrows, no Arkham it looked like any genereic American city.

If i recall most there was far more daytime scenes than night time

The bat"cave" was like an apple store

The batsuit looks less bat-like.

It seemed to remove alot of the "Batness" that they laid in Begins, it's a great film, but not a great bat film

Whoa whoa whoa...

Sure, inflation and number of showings will allow it to pass The Godfather...but that's the only time it should ever be in the same sentence lol

I'm with you there. I know we are kinda through the looking glass with fans thinking this is as good or better than the Avengers, Dark Knight and Spider-Man 2 but do we go further down the rabbit hole and start comparing ASM to the Godfather? Maybe Citizen Kane? I know Godfather and Citizen Kane were good but there was no web slinging or wall crawling so how good can they be?:lol

I said it beat it's opening which is what he brought up, not that it was a better film.

It's already made $340 million worldwide it's first week and 2 sequels are greenlit. :nana:

And it had actually had the largest tuesday opening ever.

:lol:rotfl:lol:rotfl:lol

:slap:dunno. the hell are you talking about this movie soared and didnt crash at all. Its the most positive spidey movie since the second movie and every fan I know loves it. Its not like its the green lantern of the summer at all no. We got two good movies Avengers and spidey. Way to go marvel. Now dc has batman which will obviously be epic but could disapoint ya never know. Anyway this movie by all means wont crash. it did what it needed to do and thats be a gateway for bigger and better sequals.

He's right. TDKR will give it a crippling blow at the box office. If ASM had been released post TDKR (which it should've been), it'd be the other way around.

If Marvel did get the rights to Spider-man we would be waiting years for movies. They are struggling as it is with just Thor, Cap and Ironman. They have not announced a new Hulk movie and are likely to announce GoTG during comic con. And if they did get Spidey back those people _____ing about the current reboot would have no problem with a third reboot under Marvel. What is the bet that when Marvel gets around to making a Hulk movie it will be rebooted. Best Hulk fans can look forward is to him appearing as special guest in the upcoming a Avenger movies or at least a five year wait unless Marvel/Disney up the number of movies to 3-4 a year.

You must be huffing your own poop. How the hell is Marvel Studios "struggling?" :lol They just boosted IM and Thor to $200mil budgets, gave ScarJo a super contract for sequels, and gave the others a raise for their sequels. They're being meticulous in what's being released so that it doesn't over-saturate the market and water down the juggernaut of a franchise that they started in 2008. As for Hulk, Feige has changed his mind and agreed that Hulk'll get his own movie when the time's right.

In case you haven't read, as its obvious you have problems reading with all the poop in your ears, Feige confirmed that Marvel would only be making two movies a year. They are a small studio. So unless Disney come in and fiance more movies it will only be two a year. The problem with making more that two a year your in danger of saturating the market. People will get bored.

2013: Ironman 3 and Thor 2.
2014: Captain America 2 & Guardians of the Galaxy
2015: Avengers & possibly Thor 3 or Cap 2.

Where do you expect Spider-man to fit into the equation if Marvel were making it considering he is the flagship character?

:exactly: also gotten around 90% positive reviews

Are you sure? It's only pulling a 73 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.

But, what do the critics know about Spider-Man? They gave Spidey 1 89 percent, 2 93, Avengers 93 and Dark Knight 94. I guess all the critics know is a good movie. They also gave Kick Ass a 76. Kick Ass couldn't be better movie than ASM, could it?:dunno

I think Spider-man released at the right time ... because I'm not sure it'd work the other way around. Clearly the Bourne people didn't think so ... they moved back another week so it wouldn't be caught in Batman's wake.

ASM caught a good blank spot between Avengers and Batman. Its a good movie. It'll make a lot of money for a couple of good weeks ... and it may keep going with some of the kids that are a bit too young for TDKR.

I was referring to Hulk. But only a complete imbecile would think that Disney wouldn't increase the budget for a tent pole franchise like Spider-Man (spend some time in a Disney store and see how much Spidey merchandise they're moving) or that Marvel wouldn't postpone a Thor sequel for Spider-Man.

Sometimes I think you guys confuse movies with sports teams. Who the ____ cares if my movie can beat up your movie?

I think it would've done even better first week of August. Let the TDKR hype simmer for a couple weeks, start the ad campaign in full mode on TDKR's opening night and then sit back and enjoy. :huh

I don't know if my dad can beat up your dad but your phone can probably kick my phone's ass. Even if my phone had a foreign object.
