I can highly recommend ASM. Have not seen Battleship.

I hope this thread hasn't gotten to the point were ASM is being compared to TDK and Avengers. ASM was good but it competes with TDK and Avengers on the same level an infant would compete in a boxing match with Muhammad Ali.

I see no reason why these 3 movies couldn't be compared. They are after all, the same genre. Now whether a person likes one more than the other is all opinion. I myself don't like TDK at all save for the Joker scenes. I find Nolan's version of Batman to be completely boring and devoid of any fun. I'd put Avengers above ASM, but not by a huge margin. They are both very enjoyable, to me anyway.

Of all the movies I was most disappointed with Captain America. Surprised by Evan's acting though, but with a better director some of the corny lines and scenes would have been done way better.

I disagree. I think that Johnston did a great job on the directing. But that's okay, different opinions.

I still got to see all the haters back in the CA:TFA thread eat crow after Cap was a hit.

I see that ASM got a Cinemascore of A- so it's definitely doing something right.
