Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

I would have made a better Gwen Stacy.

Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

No, Sam hated the character. Killing him off was probably a way of telling the studios "You wanted ____ing Venom? Here...now he's dead, so you cant use him anymore. Go ____ yourselfs for wrecking my movie"

Atleast, that's what I would've done. Studios need to back off when they're destroying the director's vison. He probably would've done Spider-Man 4 with Venom, and then he would've been cool or something. Sam's own take on him. But no...they forced it apon him, and thus ruined the character in the films.

you can blame avi arad for forcing venom into #3

Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

Great directors have constantly been forced to do things they did not want to.

Sam didn't have to take his baby balls out of his diaper and throw a fit because of it like an emo child. He could have still done the character justice instead of remaking the same movie the 3rd time and ____ting all over the fans.

Meet Gwen Stacy

On Sunday night, Emma Stone debuted her new blonde hair for her role as Gwen Stacy in Sony's upcoming untitled Spider-Man movie at the "Trevor Live" show, which benefits The Trevor Project, at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. Shooting for the film starts this month!

Her look reminds me of the Tim Sale version Gwen:

I'm okay with it.

She has Mary Jane eyes. Must be because of her prodigious use of eye liner here.

Which I have a feeling will continue through the film. I think she looks more Gwen than Howard did.

Brunette>Blonde:exactly:

Or redhead but I get what you are saying.

Bingo. ____ that guy. He is part of this movie too though :(

Also you have to blame Raimi for seriously just shoehorning Venom into an established story without any regard to storytelling. If you remove Venom out completely you'd get a nice Sandman story. If you remove Sandman you get a cluster____ and that prove that he was a serious afterthought.

Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

What about that whole "Sandman killed Uncle Ben by accident" crap? The carjacker in the first film is the one that kills Uncle Ben, not that retconned bull____.

Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

Still a Sandman story even if its retconn'd. I didn't say it was a good one.

there's no way the symbiote story could've been told in 1 movie. 2 movies at least, spidey should have kept the black suit all of 3 and lose it at the end to set up venom in 4

He wrote a script with Sandman/Harry Osborne. He already had it ready to go...they had to add in the Venom/Black Suit story line into the movie...that seriously screwed his script to a point where it was basicly unwatchable. He should've fought harder. But the studio DEMANDED Venom. He had to be in Spider-Man 3. He couldnt be a cliffhanger character.

Atleast I think so...I gotta find out more about this.

I agree. Except for the nice Sandman story part. It wasn't bad, but I dislike that he was just misunderstood or whatever. His storyline could have been done better. Raimi messed up 3 and it wasn't just because Venom was forced on him. In his defense, I don't think 3 is as bad as some make it out to be, it just wasn't as good as it coulda have been.

Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

There's still no excuse for that stupid new goblin get up. Yea ok sandman is enough but to not make harry the hobgoblin or atleast a better version of the green goblin was stupid on his part. Thier was also plenty of time for venom to be in the movie, just cut out that childish "wicked cool " crap and that stupid jjj vs lil girl sequence and we would of had a little more venom. Plus thier was no reason to kill him off .

Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

I thought Harry's GG costume made sense, it seemed like an extreme sports outfit and in line with what a guy like him would wear.

As much as we love the classic comic outfits, I think it makes more sense to make the costumes a little more "real-world" for the movies.

The only figures I'd be interested in getting from this trilogy would be Spidey, Symbiote Spidey, and New Goblin so bring them on and I'll buy them.

Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

Emma Stone would have made a killer Mary Jane. I don't like her blonde at all she looks terrible. I love her as an auburn brunette, she's totally sexy then.

Wrong call.

Except for the fact that Harry found the "Goblin Lair" or whatever you want to call it. The mask, the glider technology. It was all there for him, yet he employed into a snowboard and tech vest? Seriously, you'd think that Harry would just take it and use what was given but instead he simply does his own thing?

I love reading this since apparently she is a natural blonde, how must it feel for someone to have everyone hate their natural hair color :lol

You couldn't pay me to have New Goblin.

Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

Hobgoblin FTW!

But I'm not expecting Hobgoblin nor my favorite Spidey villain, Carnage in this series. Still for some reason (mainly the casting) I'm very excited for this reboot/re-imaging or whatever you want to go call it. I have high hopes for this and Aronofsky's "The Wolverine" as far as marvel based movies go.

Also while I'm a sucker for red heads, Emma looks just like Gwen and still smoking hot imo.

Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

I think she looks great :D

so far the only casting i'm luke warm over is Garfield, but i will reserve my judgement til i see something on screen

Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

The thing I'm dying to see is the costume. Raimi's Spider-Man IMHO pretty much nailed what we would see on screen and it'll be hard for them to differenciate from the films before as they seem to really be gunning for and not look outlandish. I mean we don't want this:

So we?
