Domestic Total as of Aug. 15, 2012: $256,422,240

Not too bad for a reboot with essentially the same story.

Let's hope they do something new for the sequel vs. stomping over more ground Raimi's already covered better.

Now that this is out of the way i hope so. It's set up for an incredible sequel, It's up to them to make it happen.

First step is no Venom or Goblin......Yet.

That said though, as you pointed out, Mysterio would be good, you also have Electro, Scorpion, Vulture and the badasses Kraven the Hunter and Rhino, too. So it's not like he's slacking in rogues. :lol

I'm not sure how long this trilogy will last, but I'm betting by the third film, we will have seen the Goblin or Venom and Gwen Stacy will have had an accident.

Unfortunately, with Gwen being a main character, and then needing to up the anny, I'm afraid we'll see Goblin in the sequel so they can implement the "snap."

I suspect he will be pulling the strings again in 2 but we should actually start to see him as Norman, maybe a transformation at the very end or after credits scene could even be him "testing" the formula, and then full on Goblin in 3. They won't kill Emma until the last possible second if they do, Garf's and her chemistry is too good.

Unless she pulls a K. Stew irl in which case that neck is done.

Goblin by the 3rd is fine setup in the 2nd. (as long as he's not the main in the 2nd)

I dunno. I see the first act of the sequel setting up Goblin, Gwen dying in the second, and Peter defeating him and coming to terms with her death by the end of the third. I'd love to be proven wrong, because I think we need Spidey on the big screen, but the first didn't do a very good job of that. :lol
