Have to say I enjoyed this one much more after watching it on bluray. Not sure why that is.

Possibly because it is nowhere near as bad a film as some of the loonytunes on here would have you believe?

There are some on here posting...not because they enjoyed the film or even because they want to honestly comment on it, but because they want to stir the **** up a bit, and provoke reactions!

A person can enjoy a thing but have his or her opinion of it shouted down by the 'always wants to be right' attitude of some idiots on here.

People need to accept that movies......especially comic book movies........will never be made they exact way they want. There are too many stories and characters that have been in the books to include. I've never seen a bigger bunch of crying babies than "fans" of comic characters who end up on the big screen. They can only be equaled by Star Wars fans.

No, Superman fans are by far the worst, although I admit to not following Star Wars so I dont have too much to go on regarding those fans. But Superman fans are often really dogmatic.

With that said, now that we have the "AGAIN?!!" origin story out of the way, and hearing that Electro was slated to be next villain, my interest was a little piqued in this new Spider-Man series.

Then I heard they were casting Jamie Foxx. :slap

Hate casting against type, there is no quicker way to kill my interest in something. Let's remake the original Terminator film and cast Whoopi Goldberg as Sarah Connor, now there's an idea that works. Just.... ugh.

Not a bad idea. Get people to root for the Terminator for a change! :yess: :lol

See what I mean? It does make me laugh though, to see a person having to :exactly: and :lecture their own posts. That is funny. And sad.

Still, it takes all sorts I suppose, eh?

Now that my aforementioned house/doggy sitting stint is concluded, I have lined up a nice refreshing re-viewing of ASM in 3D through my Panasonic Plasma (this weekend) in total relaxation. I already have the king-sized cola, cheese+jalapeno nachos, chilli-dogs and the jumbo buckets of popcorn all primed and ready to go!

Hey, if you are going to do it, do it right!

I dunno, we were discussing the movie just fine until you decided to come in and rub your sore ass on anybody who doesn't like this remake like a desperate attention whore. :huh

Wish i could do this, still waiting on the Blu :monkey2

Well, some of us were talking about the movie. Some of you weren't.

And I have said many times and now once again (because there is a very unhealthy dose of selective blindness being demonstrated by some here...they really need to do better) it takes all sorts.

I have had many thought provoking conversations with people whose opinion I do not share (sometimes with Nova being a case in point)...it's actually very stimulating. I cannot easily recall having my opinion turned to another direction...nor do I recall easily turning anyone else's to my view. But it was a fun debate.

It's not a problem to me...as it seems to be to certain others...

Doesn't release until the 26th over here :cuckoo:

Starlord was in the initial announcement, Nova deserves his own film imo before joining/leading them.

I got mine as a 3D Bluray (Not the one with the Spidey and Lizzy figures in...too much for me) from DVDWorld USA. It's region free and already in hand. Just thought you might already have it.

Just ordered the four disc 3D blu-ray through amazon. Finally I'll actually have a Spidey film to watch at home. The Raimi ones were fantastic for their time (1 and 2 anyway) but whenever they pop up on TV I just don't get sucked into them anymore.

Target has a neat 90min documentary on the remake.
