It won't happen, they deleted most of the untold story that looked to imply Pete was experimented on in some way. Probably deleted it due to a potential backlash from fans.

Calling bull****. If they'd "deleted" it, we would've seen it on the DVD/BR. They cut it to explore in the sequel as has already been stated by multiple sources.

Kinda, Pete himself has been cloned abit & in the Ultimate Universe one of his clones aged faster than him and looked like his Dad so when they met Pete thought that he was his Dad.

The only way they'd do a Clone story on film is if the clone was of Peter, the Clone stories are very dividing for fans so it wouldn't make sense to make the main character a clone.

Pete in ASM already had the algorithm applied to him. Connors said in his kitchen no subjects of cross species gene splicing had survived, so Pete writes down the equation.

Connors applies the equation to the Lizard serum, but there's still side effects. So Pete is still different in some way we haven't been told, but will probably find out in pt.2.

How long have you been reading Spider-Man? A while back, they introduced a clone as Ben Parker (the clone saga or whatever the **** it was called). Then with a twist of fate, we were expected to believe that Ben Parker was the real Peter Parker and that the old Peter Parker from decades of continuity was the real Ben Parker, a clone this whole time, spanning decades and decades, and that the real Peter Parker as Ben Parker had come to claim the mantle of the real Spider-Man. Then, when that completely backfired on Marvel, they switched up the story and retconed it so that the real Peter was tricked into believing he was a clone by, if memory serves, Green Goblin, and that Ben Parker was and always had been the clone. It was more shameless than Mephisto and the whole Brand New Day bull****. If they plan on making Parker a clone, they can expect a **** load of hate moving forward in this new series. You need to read up on your Spidey history, dude.

I used to get Spiderman in my pull bag until they published that crap. I was a long time reader. They also decided to re-invent a bunch of the classic characters such as female Doc Occ, the new Vulture, and some other dumb crap. That was DeFalco and Joe Q's work. They tried to blame the whole thing on marketing.

Yes Ben Reilly the scarlet spider was the clone and he died by the goblins glider turning him to ash making Peter realize he wasn't a clone. Great story arc but not for a movie.

A clone story done well wouldn't be a terrible thing on film if kept simple. Have Jackal clone Peter and simply have the clone hate Peter for the fact he was created and have them do battle with the Real Pete not wanting to hurt him

Finally got around to watching this. Very much prefer this film over any of from Raimi's trilogy. Don't get me wrong I liked those films when the were originally released. I was 9 when the first film was released and as it a kid I found it fantastic. TAS however I feel a deeper appreciation for, being 19 and able to understand a lot more than "Oh that looked awesome!". Bring on the next one.

That and Emma Stone can do no wrong in my eyes, so that was a hugeeee bonus for this film.
