How is magneto vs. Iron man a fight?! LMAO That'd better be some carbon fiber armor or something.

Yeah, a genius like Stark would totally over look that huh?
Geesh.
He dealt with it along time ago.
Magneto should only be able to fight him indirectly.

This is the Avengers MOVIE thread right?!

When the hell did this turn into the general Marvel thread?

:lol :lol :lol :lol /\/\/\/\

It was actually my fault Mike :panic:

I was just trying to break up the tension at 5am so I tried a bad funny of "So, how about that Ghost Rider movie" (in an Avengers thread :slap), and off it went from there. :monkey2

So, how about that Avengers movie. :lol

Steve Rogers' Perspective is Focus of Marvel's The Avengers

In Entertainment Weekly's 2012 preview on stands now, The Avengers writer and director Joss Whedon talked about how he approached the big superhero movie. He says a lot of it will be from Captain America's perspective.

"I set out with a very simple problem: There is no reason for these people to be in the same movie. So that's what my movie has to be about," Whedon said. "So much of [The Avengers] story takes place from Steve Rogers’ perspective, since he’s the guy who just woke up and sees this weird-ass world. Everyone else has been living in it. He’s the guy that feels that sense of loss.”
"[The Avengers] is very much about people who are alone - because I’m writing it," he joked, adding, "[Captain America] is kind of the ultimate loner in that way. There is an anachronism to him, and Chris and I have always tried to make it, without making it goofy or too obvious, always tried to make him that same grounded '40s Steve Rogers he was in the other movie."

Chris Evans again plays Rogers and is joined by Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård and Samuel L. Jackson. The highly-anticipated move hits theaters on May 4.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

Whedon has been writing it "on the fly".
It's one aspect that concerns me, as those types of productions don't usually translate into a well rounded evenly paced finished releases.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

Every movie ever made does that. No movie ever writes a script, and does that script. It's always changed, and things are always added.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

Iron Man 1 was rewritten on the fly with constant changes and improvisations involving Downey, Favreau and Bridges. Yes, Fergus and Ostby have the credit but their script was rewritten daily.
