Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

That makes sense in the UK where "The Avengers" is more closely associated with Patrick Macnee and Diana Rigg.

I actually like The UK title better. Maybe that's just because I'm seeing it for the first time.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

Here in the UK the films title has been changed to Avengers Assemble
:nana:

And here is our new poster :yess:

Didn't know Giant Man was in the movie!! :panic: Oh wait, that's Captain America.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

Someone bring Drew Struzan out of retirement.
That is just horrid.

Good gosh that's terrible. Captain America, leader of the Avengers, is in the background with an oversized shield on the wrong arm? Way to go. :duh

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

Since everyone is looking around with no clear off camera focal point nobody seems to really 'be there'. All of their eye lines cris-cross in a haphazard way. Everyone seems ready to move in a separate direction. There doesn't seem to be one urgent threat, just the impression of a big mess. There's not even a unified light source or color temperature.

The best splash pages handle teams shots better than this. Everyone should be reacting to a single stimuli, even if it's outside the picture. There should be dynamic flow in one direction and a feeling of them going into action as a team.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

Still don't know why Iron Man is in the forefront for an Avengers movie poster....I would think it would be Cap :huh:huh:huh:huh

Obviously Marvel thinks that IM is a more popular movie character, but still....

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

I like the poster how every1 is in action but it looks very photoshopped together, not proffesional at all, and it looks like the Watchmen poster background just with some rubble and beams.

I hope they do a bunch of cool posters, this is okay for for a $5 walmart poster.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

This looks more like the box art for the basic one disk DVD and the cool art goes on the 3 disk Director's cut with 8 hours of extras.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

Well..that looks like crap.

WTF is wrong with the Hulk? Looks like a mutated Muppet.

And I get that everyone loves Ironman, but why can't they show some love for the other Avengers? Tony Stark makes the most sense as the leader, but it just seems like all the other Avengers are background characters..

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

I like the concept, but the execution is pretty bad. Perspective is just outta wack on this one.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread
