Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

Is it beyond reasonable to think that Andrew Garfield might have a cameo in Avengers, to hint at the inclusion of Spiderman in a possible sequel?

Yes, it's beyond possible. Sony controls Spider-man and Joss has said definitively that he ain't in it. Joss isn't above being misleading, but considering the studio sitch - I wouldn't hold out hope.

Old rumor already quashed by Marvel.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

Well now we know for sure that THOR has two costumes in the movie... Wonder if Hot Toys will produce both?

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

Can't get enough of the trailer.

Forget about March.
Forget about April.

I'll be hibernating for two months. :wave

Wish I could.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

Rather than hoping for Spiderman or someone controlled by another studio (Logan, Xmen, Fantantic Four, etc..) I'd hope for a cameo to introduce someone marvel actually controls such as Luke Cage, Dr. Strange, Carol Danvers, Hank and Janet Pim, Scarlett Witch... many to choose from.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

Hmmm..Hulk and Thor doing their best Vader imitation I see, not bad, missing a couple of O's though.

I'll be Devil's Advocate here and say that while he said Spider-Man isn't going to be in, he didn't say Peter Parker wasn't going to be in...

I think I read somewhere that said that Magneto and all children associated with Magneto were owned by Fox......which I guess would take Quicksilver out of the running as well.

When are all the character rights going to revert to Disney so they can get some control over their Marvel movie franchises?

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

I'm glad Andrew Garfield can't appear in The Avengers as I plan on assuming that Tobey Maguire is still the "official" off-camera Spider-Man off doing other things in the Marvel movie universe.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

Finally got to listen and watch the trailer at the same time. Not bad at all. I'm not OMG like some but that was pretty cool all the same.

C'mon now Josh.
Admit it... you saw the Mk.VII and decided right then that you were going to camp out on May 3, so that you would be first in line at the IMAX 3D OMG theater.

:wink1:
