No need for anyone to get offended by that video, I enjoyed Avengers but got the humor from that little presentation, espcially the "lap dance" and the digs at Fury. Some of what that guy says is absolutely true, others are just for the lolz. :lol

The guy did an Amazing Spider-Man that was just as funny.

I'm waiting for one for TDKR, which has more wrong with it than the Avengers. That should be pretty great. You can see in the comments that people are asking for it. I can already think of the list of things "wrong" with it for it's sentence to hell.

Of the three big summer, comic book blockbusters, with all they're mediocre plots and writing, I'd say Avengers was the most entertaining and re watchable. It was what it was and never aspired to be anything more than an entertaining, action flick with great comic heroes on the big screen. There's nothing wrong with colorful characters and mindless fun, unless you're a tight, condescending, ***** who has specific erudite tastes that are stuffed too far up your ***.

Just eat more fiber and go to the bathroom more often. You'll be alright Voorhees, I'm sure Santa will bring you those wheat crackers you love.

Oh and green tea, drink plenty of green tea.

Hence the Tucks. :lecture:lecture:lecture

How do you know about these products?

I can't say I've ever bought or looked for "Tucks". :lol

That's kinda cool! Will's got nice fingers too. :)

Everyone today lives in a state of 'everything is terrible, everything is overrated'. Shame. Utter shame.

There's no sense of enjoyment.

Universally accepted by who? People like you that paid to see it 56 times? Must have touched a nerve or you wouldn't be riding in on your mule to try and defend it's honor.

Anyone who failed to enjoy the Avengers doesn't like moving pictures.

Anyone who fails to enjoy the Avengers while simultaneously adoring TDKR needs a procedure to remove the arthropod from their posterior.

This is just a health advisory. :lecture

I don't think they fail at watching movies...

Sure, The Avengers is so far from actual perfection. But for what it is? It's pretty damn close.

:lol

The Avengrears united real quick.

Actually, I hate all those nitpicky videos. Even ones I agree with.

Ghost Rider 2 was terrible because the story and characters were terrible. Not because Ghost Rider said something silly in the middle of the movie.

I bet if I posted the guys' Amazing Pida-Man run down in the ASM thread, you'd be having fun and loling and agreeing with it, ammirite?

Eh. No. I'll be honest. I'll laugh, but then get sick of it because overall the idea of nitpicking movies to utter death isn't much fun.

Now, while I did nitpick the **** out of spider-man, I only did so to counter the annoying fans who kept suggesting this was a new film.

Which it wasn't. I made my own post to dicate what's wrong with the movie. I don't need to lame video to give credit my opinion.

Unless it's from RLM. :D

Wipe the milkshake (eggnog?) off your eyes, you're in the Avengers thread. :nana:

The Avengers might appear to be an easy target. There is no shortage of odd inconsistencies and assorted film blunders. For me, every good movie has to excell in at least two things: tone and characterization. If those two are well established, almost everything else is forgiveable.

I think in TDKR's case they tried to stretch farther than the medium could really support. The tone was suitably miserable and bleak but not enough heroic payoff (Bane needed to have the mask ripped off!) and the characterization was off (esp. Wayne's paralyzing guilt and the Bane/Talia relationship). I liked that they ended on a positive note if not a resonating one. Retiring might make sense for most people, but it goes against character for Bruce. That just about goes for all superheros. Great movies that had superheroes lose their powers temporarily only provided a basis for a renewed embrace of precisely what made them exceptional to begin with. If Bruce Wayne can't accept the Bat, how will the audience?

The Avengers didn't try to deconstruct themselves. They distilled what made these characters popular to begin with and were justly rewarded with a mega-hit. It's not challenging material by any means but all superhero movies are wish-fullfillment at their core. If you want to criticize someone's wish, you better replace it with something even more fantastic. Anything else is outside the film's ability to deliver.

That would have made for a great 1,000th post there Frank. That's too bad!

I'd like to personally thank you for making this my 1,000th. Thank you all for taking time to reply/ignore/ridicule my senseless drivel!

My gift to the boards, lol. Merry Christmas Freaks!
