Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

I don't want to see The Joker. The Joker does not exist in the DCEU, nor do Harley Quinn, Killer Croc, Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, Diablo, or Slipknot. Suicide Squad never happened. It was just another fever dream Batman had after getting hopped up on Percocet and falling asleep in his chair again.

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

I know the studios would preferably avoid it, but what if they decide to open two big blockbusters on the SAME day? That's direct competition right there.

If you all recall, this initially happened with Civil War and BvS: Dawn of Justice. Civil War claimed their May release date first and then later WB announced BvS' release for the same day. WB eventually bumped the date to March, but it was a game of box office chicken in which WB blinked first after initially challenging Marvel. It was bold at the time, and WB's move of BvS was probably smart in the long run as Civil War garnered more profit and critical praise than BvS.

So what you would've saw is that movie-goers could've been swayed by the critics, friends' opinions, etc. in what is a direct competition for a film-goers' money. While comic fans might see BOTH movies in one weekend, the average film-goer might choose to see one or the other, and possibly swayed by opinions on which is the better flick as their priority choice. It's possible that this could happen again if DC gets more "wins" under their belts like Wonder Woman.

Infinity War will **** all over anything DC does for the next 2 years

Suicide Squad never happened.

There ya go. If only....

But it did. A terrible crime was gotten away with. And no one went to jail. No one was punished... but we the people.

This is happening again right now, all around us... and no one will be punished.... but We The People.

I found Margot's Harley quite enjoyable. :dunno

I liked a lot of bits about that film. Would love to see Deadshot in a well made film.

I don't care how enjoyable she was. I'll gladly throw Baby out with her "damaged" bath water. Same deal with The Wall and Deadshot. There is no Suicide Squad. Period. Not yet, anyway.:lol

If they prequel this like they did Wonder Woman, then there indeed wouldn't be a Suicide Squad. They could easily go the Death in the Family route and explain the Robin suit in the BvS Batcave like they did the Wonder Woman photo in Wonder Woman. Then they can wipe off all of the crap off the Joker and not even need Harley.

Except that, even without all the crap on his face, that ain't The Joker.:lecture

Agreed. Recast or reinvent him entirely. He sucked. Will never accept that incarnation of the joker.

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

I love Leto's Joker and I'm looking forward for his appearance in The Batman and SS2. Letoker FTW.

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

Then who killed Robin and left that Joker-like graffiti on his suit?

Alfred. He recognized Bruce's becoming increasingly, psychologically unhinged and helped Jason fake his own death in order to escape that life before it was too late. To this day, Bruce is still haunted by the lingering mystery of "who killed Jason Todd," and, to this day, it's still the one crime he's never been able to solve.

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

Joker Should stay in Suicide Squad 2 anyways. Regardless of Leto Gansta Joker, thats a character more suitable for that series of movies.

This Batman movie being a detective story with Ben Affleck the way they wanna do it more noir, it would be extremely idiotic and weird and odd to have someone like the Joker show up in it....
not even the way he acts would fit this kind of movie.... how can you have a Noir Style movie with JUGGALO Joker showing up with his DAMAGED forehead........ wtf
You Might as well make the soundtrack Kanye west and Lady Gaga for that matter, it makes that little sense
