Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

If it's a detective story, the Court of Owls could be in the film.

Personally, I'd have The Riddler be the main villain and master mind, while Death stroke can be working for Riddler and be a physical challenge/threat for Batman. The movie needs some action after all. The Penguin can have a cameo in his club as an informant, and Joker can also have a cameo in jail or Arham with Batman visiting him for information.

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

a joker cameo would work but after the fiasco that was Suicide squad's joker run time, i really really doubt they would risk making people mad that way again

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

Leto is the Joker, the Joker is Leto...that's written in stone for SS2 and The Batman.

It's the Joker starting off from where SS left him, Harley in tow and his gang intact. He'll be the night club owning gangland boss, Harley will be more than just a gangster's moll. Deathstroke/Slade Wilson seems like he's been lifted straight from Arrow, not surprising as Manu Bennett's performance as DS was the stand out part of the show. They'll revert him back to American from being Australian but basically it's Arrowverse Deathstroke.

On SS2, i'm hearing that Bane and DS will be added to that.

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

I am glad they brought in Matt Reeve as much as I like Ben afleck and enjoy reading Geoff johns comics I really don't trust either of them when it comes to movies scripts. When an actor thinks we can direct , co write and act all in one movie that makes me question it and the Geoff johns recent comments out DC needing to be light is missing the point as to why the previous movies were not successful. No one said that about the Nolan movies and they were dark, a good script needs no explanation. The were sloppy with the execution and tired to accomplish to much in one movie while losing sight of the movie at hand. I don't need to see a advertisement of upcoming plot points in the current movie.

Just adapt a good story arch death in the family and the red hood , next movie they can do court of owls lately they can do the Scott sunder run with the riddlerr or something. Keep it simple

I don't need any action. That's what Justice League's for. If it was me? I'd make the villain Mad Hatter. Batman's tracking down a missing little girl and it's a dark, atmospheric descent into Gotham's seediest, shadiest corners as Batman attempts to solve the urban mystery he's confronted with. I want Batman walking down dimly lit, sepia tinted hallways with a flashlight stepping over junkies littering the floor; I want eerie suburban neighborhoods in Gotham Heights, and, more than anything, I want a Batman who shows us he's a brilliant master of deduction. Finding clues, interrogating suspects, examining the evidence, and, eventually, putting all the pieces together.

You really are a batfan. Eight.

I'd love that in a movie.

Huh, what? I'm sorry, I nodded off there... what did you say?

Seriously, don't they have a video game for you where you can just walk around a room as Batman and do just that?

In other words you want a Batman movie that the average movie goer doesn't want. It's like Transformers. Fans of source material will never get what they want because it doesn't appeal to the average movie goer. Movie studios will ALWAYS go for what they believe is mass appeal.

All that could be in several scenes, but he still needs to fight people, plus the mandatory chase sequence, and at least one small explosion.

Yea, but the problem is movie studios are usually wrong. It isn't just the source material fans that are criticizing these cinematic dumpster fires. Its them, plus critics, and the average movie goer. And the box office results usually speak for themselves more often than not.

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

Would you be satisfied with just a stern chin-rub to cover the 'deducing' part?

I prefer him folding his arms like an actual bat while deducing or pondering his ideas. It demonstrates his commitment to the bat gimmick, but also his intelligence.

:rotfl

His commitment to an absurd gimmick. To be real, to be believable as a super-genius who believes the Bat symbol works in his favors on many levels, Batman should be portrayed in a way we common folk can understand, and in a way that would be realistic in modern day... I'm suggesting of course that Bruce Wayne should be portrayed as autistic and that's why he likes the Batman costume. It's like his backpack.

Autism would explain his behavior, his obsession with bats and with small details on his costume and gadgets, his inability to form relationships, the repetitive behavior, and his lack of interest in sharing enjoyment, interests, or achievements with other people. Batman his autistic, and his parents dying gave him the freedom to dress like a bat, to live in a cave with real bats and bat **** everywhere. Alfred probably doesn't get paid enough to stop Bruce either, even though Thomas Wayne probably asked Alfred to never let little Bruce dress like a bat, in case something happened to them.

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

I predict Matt reeves script, batman must stop all the villians in Gotham from tearing the city apart and follow the clues to who has started the madness, only one man could be this mad the joker, but when commissioner Gordon locks him up after batman captures him. The madness is still happening til Bruce tracks down the real corporate gorilla grodd and his mind control ways to turn Gotham into the planet of apes this means war, this will be a two part movie the planet of apes vs the batman

So you just want him exploring Wor-Gar's neighborhood then.
