Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

Good news - Reeves is nothing more than a studio suit disguised as an Auteur. He had been put in by Disney to sabotage this film from the start. Was obvious to anyone who has not been drinking the fluoride tainted tapwater that is used for mind control.

Lord and Miller are the real deal when it comes to Auteurs and will make this film brilliant.

Haven't seen him around pumping the Venom threads with his false rumors. Hopefully he is taking a journey of self discovery.

"Matt Reeves was given assurances that he could make ‘The Batman’ his way" -
Source:https://batman-news.com/2017/07/12/matt-reeves-was-given-assurances-that-he-could-make-the-batman-his-way/

From the interview:

So the answer is yes, you did want assurances [before signing on to The Batman]. Maybe assurances isn’t the right word…

Reeves: No, it is.

So you are telling them, “Here’s what I want to do with Batman”?

Reeves: Yeah. When I come in, what I say is, “Look. First of all, you’re asking me if I’m interested in this franchise. I am. I love this franchise. I’ve loved it since I was a kid. But here’s the way in which I’m interested in it. And if you’re not interested in it in that way, then that’s totally fine.” And the good news was, they said, “Yeah, we’re really interested in that way.”

And I remember this on Dawn, too. There would be moments where I came in for a pitch that was a certain version of the movie, and somewhere along the way, because they didn’t know me or whatever it was, they’d say, “Why don’t we do this?” And I would just simply say, “But that’s not the movie that we talked about. That’s not the movie I want to do.” And I have to say that they always backed down when it came down to that. And it’s kind of the way that I’ve always done it. And here’s the thing: I’m always happy not to do something. I’m usually looking for the reason to say no.

Glad to hear he ain't having WB's ****. :lol

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

Yeah well WB just hasn't told him yet that after the success of WW his Batman movie will have to follow that formula lol

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

Affleck and Geoff's original script is officially out the window.

https://batman-news.com/2017/07/12/matt-reeves-batman-scratch-new-story/

Reeves was a guest on MTV’s Happy Sad Confused podcast and host Josh Horowitz asked if he was going to be working off of Ben Affleck and Geoff John’s original script. “No,” Reeves replied. “It’s a new story. It’s just starting again. I’m excited about it. I think it’s going to be really cool.”

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

Since that guy likes monkeys it's prolly gonna be Batman v Gorilla Grodd.

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

Noooo, I was looking forward to deathstroke, evil is right its going to be gorilla grodd now

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

Yea I think the original treatment had Deathstroke busting villains out of Arkham and Bats having to round them up.

I would prefer he was trapped inside Arkham.

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

As long as there's no Deathstroke in any form I'll be fine with the changes.

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

It's gonna be a fantastic movie. Probably the best to come from the DCEU's proposed ventures given that it won't pander to the SJWs & Marvelites WW was clearly looking to impress.

Where WW became a reactionary movie to the bull**** hate for BvS, this will do it's own thing and virtually wipe it's ass with whatever new mandate the studio has for these movies.

And said R-rated, noir-heavy, auteuristic approach is the only reason Affleck didn't quit this franchise after the ridiculous creative reboot the DCEU underwent post-BvS.
