I actually want him to remain lol

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

Maybe there is a chance we get a full Batman movie where he's solving crimes and beating up bad guys without any Bruce Wayne at all.

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

I'm tired of this crap that springs up every few weeks- Affleck is WB's prime star in their DC universe and they know it and so does he-JL is only another step in the direction of The Batman solo film

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

WB executive released a statement saying that Affleck is their Batman, they love him.

Who knows it's all a mess. They still have to protect JL afterall.

It's NOT a mess- the "experts" looking from the outside are the ones who create the "mess". No evidence to the contrary

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

If JL is a huge hit there is a chance Affleck will remain but if JL underperforms he is gone for sure before the solo Batman movie.

Doubt he cares about Box Office. He's an artist. He'll do Reeves' film because it stimulates him artistically. He certainly doesn't need the money.

Wut...

BvS disaster.

Yes it was tragic his daughter died but then he decided to work "thru it" for months only to then later walk away, c'mon.

Affleck quitting as director

Affleck script being tossed away.

Affleck directed movie bombing.

WB hiring the new guy only to witness his ape masterpiece bomb.

Whedon massive reshoots.

They're so lucky that WW was a hit and even then still won't break a billion lol.

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

You would think that a studio that has alllllllll of there characters wouldn't freaking suffer so much getting off the ground

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

The Hollywood Reporter are usually pretty dialed in. I doubt they're pulling this out of thin air. People can bury their heads in the sand all they like, but when BvS was torn apart by critics it made Affleck leaving a very real possibility. He doesn't want to be associated with crap movies. He did that plenty earlier in his career, but worked hard to really change that, and turned himself into a respected director, and actor with films like Gone Baby Gone, Argo, and The Town. BvS took him right back to those earlier days. Granted, most people/critics liked Affleck's Batman, but it doesn't matter. It was a crap movie, and he no doubt took the critical beating it got pretty hard.

And if he is leaving....so what? We'll be ordering Hot Toys of the next guy. :dunno

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

I hope its not true, but a warner bros chairman denied the gossip, what is up with all this anyways
