I hope the movie is good. All of the Batman actors have brought unique takes to the character for sure. Keaton still to me has the overall meanest looking face in the cowl. Bale had a great suit in Begins and was a beast in it. Affleck brought out the worn out Batman and Pattinson hopefully brings out the detective.

I genuinely can't tell if TurdFurgusonsHat is just trolling anymore.

Every Batman movie, from 1989 onwards, had had the actor wear black eye make-up in order to make the transition from cowl to the actors eyes seamless. Without it, there would be lots of visible skin around the eyes, which arguably lessens the illusion that Bruce Wayne is trying to create.

You can clearly see the make up in every single movie, they have just never consciously acknowledged it as being there as part of the costume. Whenever an actor removes the cowl in a scene, the eye make up is magically gone. The above image is a good example because there is an obvious cut in the scene where they cut to Selina's face just before Batman removes the cowl and his eye make up is gone (right).

Just because it's not been acknowledged before doesn't make it any less real or a fact, nor does the fact that it is now being acknowledged mean that this portrayal of the character is inferior because of such a non issue. I actually quite like the fact that they are showing the eye make-up on his face after Pattinson removes the cowl in character, it's another layer of his transformation from the Batman back to Bruce Wayne (I've always been a believer that it is the Batman who becomes Bruce Wayne, rather than the other way around). However, if they didn't acknowledge it, I wouldn't care, because it's not been done before.

I'm all for discussion and critique when it's genuine or built on valid reasons, but baseless criticism or complaints based on thin foundations is tiresome.

Pattinson DID work out for the role, it is evidently clear. He was joking/exaggerating his comments in that interview and just not completely killing his body for a role in a film that, at the time of the interview, was on hold and didn't even have a date to resume filming yet. But it is explicitly clear that, once things resumed, he did work out. This is not a physique you acquire from sitting on your arse all day.

He's physically bigger than Michael Keaton was for Batman and Batman Returns, and, I think, bigger than Christian Bale was for The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises.

Yes, Pattinson was in Twilight, but he was in his early 20s, and has since admitted to hating working on those movies. He has had some excellent performances in great movies since then.

Michael Keaton was Mr Mom and Beetlejuice before Batman, Kilmer was in Top Secret! and Real Genius before Batman, Bale was in Velvet Goldmine before Batman, etc etc, it didn't lessen any of their credentials to portray the Batman.
Epic post is well…epic!

We need DiFabio to settle this once and for all ASAP!

Turd look what you have gone and done your hatred of Twilight has blinded you and now you and your accomplice Loki will have to be judged by Master D :horror lol

Me too. Keaton is my favourite overall. Bale should have kept the Begins suit, it suited him the best.

Talking to Total Film (via CBR), director Matt Reeves explained that the hero is "on [an] obsessive mission" when we find him in The Batman, adding that "He’s a rich guy who’s able to use the money to do this stuff, but he’s doing it himself. So I wanted, at a practical level, for you to see the seams in everything that he’s doing."

"In the suit, you can see the seaming in the cowl. You can see that he’s doing this all himself,"
the filmmaker continued. "You can see that he’s building this car in his garage. You can see the crudeness of it. There had to be a certain unfinished, not polished quality to it. Obviously the car needs to perform, so I thought it should be like a muscle car. And the suit needed to protect him, so that needed to make sure it looked almost tactical, and almost looked like riot gear."
Despite both the Batsuit and Batmobile being grounded in reality, Reeves acknowledges that because there's "a kind of horror aspect that’s part of [Batman's] intent," it was important that "the Batsuit and the car had to be able to materialize out of the shadows in a way that was provoking a kind of monstrous side...I liked the idea of the car itself as a horror figure, making an animalistic appearance to really scare the hell out of the people Batman is pursuing."

Oh wait it's this guy

Keaton is mine too because he brought out the craziness in Batman. The begins suit is Bale's best for sure. I understand in Dark Knight he wanted mobility but he lost the supernatural aspect for the tactical aspect and still couldn't fight mush better overall.

When wearing the cowl yes, otherwise it wouldn't look right. He didn't do this though...

you don't even know the context of this scene.
you don't know what might have happened. you don't know why he took off the mask, it might be a very dark scene.
it might not even be make up but actual paint or shoe polish or something

if it was cool enough for nick cage, is cool enough for Battison

twilight is not even that bad, the first movie is kinda rainy comfy.
yes it has dumb teen romance drama but outside of the teens there's a story of werewolves and vampires rivals and there's a vampire overlord king in Italy that tortures and kills without compassion

my point is, YES, the teen drama in twilight is dumb and cheesy and stupid
but the 5 movies have a really good story underneath of rivalry and betrayal and stuff

hating Battison for twilight without even knowing what happens is very dumb too. the twilight movies are very pro marriage and very pro life. Bella would rather die than lose her baby (and she DOES DIE) and Edward won't turn her into a vampire or have *** with her without being married first.

the movies is extremely pro life and very pro family which is a rarity these days.

the twilight franchise is not about teen drama, the real point of these movies is family, heritage, respecting your parents, respecting and protecting your elders. honoring your elders. honoring your family. protecting your daughter at all cost.
all a rarity in today's world.

My conclusion is,
twilight actually has some strong messages underneath the teeny bop poop
