The mask is more acurate on the HT ones. They even have Bales big nose right. The Takara one looks good, but looks too much like a guy in a rubber suit. The movie didn't come off like that and neither does HT's.

Still going with Takara, the exposed part on the HT face just looks generic to me.

I agree that the exposed part of the head is better on the Takara, and the cowl looks to be more accurate too (see pic). The bat symbol should not be matte but glossy (see pic); however, this seems to change throughout the movie. The HT version of the armour looks more like armour and the Takara version looks more rubbery in my opinion. This is a very close race in my opinion. A race where you can't go wrong in either direction. They are so similar in my opinion that any differences may be null and void. I am still leaning towards to the HT version but that Takara is looking better all the time!!! This is a win-win situation if you ask me.

That's not too bad for a Takara, especially if it includes a Bale head. I'm going a hunting for best HT deals for BB and SR with shipping to US. I'm guessing Toy Square is going to be the best bet. They are in Canada and Both are $119 but shipping is considerably lower, especialy if you want both.

ABC Express said HK shipping for one is $30 and $50 for 2, a real turnoff.

So, the Hot Toys Batman is fully poseable? Just from looking at the pics, I can't see any kind of joints. Forgive me if this sounds like a dumb question, but I've never seen a Hot Toys figure in person. Is the costuming flexible? Does it wear out from frequent posing?

Thanks for the info so far. It's been very helpful. My next question: how hard are these to put together. As simple as a Koto? Little harder? I'm not the greatest model builder (basically, I can only do snap-togethers). Are the pieces very fragile? I don't want to spend all this money and end up breaking it before I put it together.

The Batman and Superman won't require assembly like the Predators (I'm assuming). They're just standard 1/6 action figures.

Those are beautiful Wook, the Takara is a sure fire winner, it is definitely a work of art, the belt alone is simply amazing.

For me it's HT b/c Tak's are 150 vs 120 and I'm getting a SR too so I'll save on shipping. Tough choice, but if I had the lettuce, I'd get them both.

Yeah theres not doubt that Takara's is very high in quality, but it does seem more like a rubber suit.....I think I prefer the HT version over Takara, but judging them only on the pics is really hard to do....There is not doubt,however, that they are both far superior to Medicoms....Medicoms face looks like platic and cheap....I hope SS distributes this..

I prefer Takara's from these pics. I like the way the thighs look on Takara's better than Hot Toys. Takara's shoulders' look broader. I'm still getting both but Takara's looks just a little bit cooler.

I have to say, Wook, I've never seen those Takara pix before...but they look better than the Medicom and the Hot Toys. The suit looks wicked cool and the expression on the mouth looks grim (a good thing). I like it!!!
