The Takara has a nicer head but a much worse body IMO... I really think that Hot Toys did an outstanding job on the costume, top notch work.

Either of them are gonna be sweet on the shelf though, so no matter what route you take.... it's awesome.

I just ordered mine today, again through Ozziegoods, just to save on shipping. So I should be getting them within a few weeks or so.... SWEET!!

To me the HT one has the nicer head. If you scroll down you'll see pics of bale in the cowl and it's absolutely amazing how close that sculpt is. Big schnoz and all.

Yeah, I think that the HT cowl is better, but I really think Takara nailed the mouth.

Still, I think that the HT version is gonna be the best bet to have and I cannot wait to see it up close and in person!!!

Me too. I'm debating on ordering from the same guy you did and cancelling my predorder. Have you ordered from him before? How long does his shipping normally take?

wow! the sculpt on the Tak version is sooo much better than HT, but i like the HT boots better.

I must be nuts cause I've got this converstation going on in 2 forums and everyone keeps saying that. I just don't see it. All I know is that if the one that shows up on my doorstep is as good as the one in the toysdaily pics I'll be happy. Guess that's all that counts really.

The Takara face sculpt looks great, but the neck joint and the rubber suit bother me.

I can't wait for my HT Batman and Superman to show up.

Me too, I can do without the slender body, guillotine neck look and HT makes the best weaponry (and belt detail) in the world IMO but that's just me,

both are extraordinary figures...

No, this is my first time ordering through him... But word of mouth was very good, as well as his feedback. Whatever he's doing, he's doing it right.

I also have to say that the belt detail and weapons on the Hot Toys Batman are sick as Hell and that profile shot is what sold me immediately on him. I love how they got the nose as pointy as it should've been... Perfect.

I do, the HT head sculpt is Dead On sick with no visible cut neck joint, belt is far better made and fits better (doesn't hang and is larger), weaponry has amazing detail, best ever made in the world, better body. etc. Takara body is too slender fro me (I don't remember Bale doing push-ups with a slender body)

Takara expression is better, lower leg outfit looks cooler but the Takara Bale sculpt looks West Hollywood boyish IMO...

Overall they are both excellent collectibles, I just prefer HT...


besides, that pic is not a fair comparision, the flash is washing the HT Head, they should both be shot in the same light

Have you heard anything "special" about the HT cape and how it works? Apparently there is something we don't know about it -- like it splays out like in the movie or some crazy thing. Maybe it has wires sewn into it.

This is from the ABC Express desc and I have read somewhere else about the HT cape action but I really don't know what if anything was done. if you knew Howard Chang (?), the head guy at HT Toys, he is fairly nuts when it comes to stuff like this, have you seen their design for the Robocop leg holster? It is genius according to the guys at sideshow, they've seen it.
