BBTS still has the Takara up for preorder for 159.99. Considering their shipping for the US that's a pretty good price. Still listed as arriving in August tho. Their HT preorder is sold out BTW.

While I probably won't be able to get one in the near future, I find myself leaning more toward the Takara version now. Previously, it seemed as though the HT version was better, but it seems as though you get more range of motion and definitely more accessories with Takara.

Just my $0.02.

The more photos I see of the Takara, the more I like it. It's definitely an excellent looking figure, but there's something about the detail in the HT version that I like just a little more. Both are very high-end.

Accessories yes, but from the pics I've seen the only edge in range of motion that Takara has is the head from the cut neck joint. The biggest differences i've noticed (besides accessories) is the belt (edge HT), the cape (edge Tak) and the body (tie IMO since HT's is too thick and Tak's is too skinny). All IMO of course.

It is a very close call between the two. I tried analyzing each part as you did, and I kept stalemating. Just as many strengths as weaknesses. Neither really had the edge that way. I guess it's the accessories and the alternate head that are drawing me toward Takara. I'd rather spend a little more and get more options. Plus, I have a feeling HT will sell out long before Takara.
