Smiff,

If you want, Dragon made bendy hands that could easily fit a standard DML body. If I remember right, Cheong had these rubber arms and bendy fingers.

Siqisiri, you're correct. The Rooftop is doable. I found a place that sells guitars that could pass for John and George's guitar. I posted that in the other thread and I'll did it up. ArtStudio wrote that he made 1/6th Telecasters and store-rooms used to sell an orange guitar that could pass for the Casino.

Mike

A link would be cool.. Another hard job is to put together what they wore on the rooftop concert:

Paul: Black suit, black vest, brown shoes, striped white shirt
John: Grey lookin converse, black pants, black turtle neck, brown fur coat
George: Black Converse, apple green pants, red shirt, Black fur coat
Ringo: Black shoes, black pants, Red Rain coat, black shirt

The hardest pieces are the red rain coat and the two fur coats.... and of course customizing a set of Spencers '64 set of sculpts ( I dont think hes making the '69 set)

saludos

My 3 Speaker/Amps will be here this week! :rock

Many thanks to Mark for coming through. Will def take pics when they come in. Does anyone, like Mike, know if the VOX emblem and outlines were white or silver?

UPDATE: Found this comp era speaker on ebay, seems emblem was silver/metal, side piping white so I'll paint the emblems silver.

smiff,
If you paid via paypal, I think you can just use that pp email [email protected] to contact Spenser as well.

Cheers for the advice guys, bizzarely enough I've had this cheung figure sit in the loft for about 5 years after buying him for about a fiver in one of forbidden planets big sales and forgetting about it. Got him down along with a bunch of other stuff to ebay the other day and was pleasantly surprised when I realised what Id got:)

On another note, has anybody heard from Spenser with regards to these heads? I've mailed him a couple of times now asking for an update and have never had one response from him even though I paid him over 3 weeks ago now when there were 2 slots left on that list. I've not even had a mail of him to say you cant have em and heres your money back.
Spenser, could you please let me know one way or another whether I'm gonna get a hold of these. Theyre great sculpts and I'd love to have a crack at painting them:)

Oh one more thing, I'm resizing those photos tonight and will update links in a few hours.

Thanks pjam, i'd used that mail already and havent heard back, hopefully he'll be in touch soon.

Anyway, here are the condensed images in one zip. 3meg or so, so small enough for Mike now.

Nice heads will be interested in seeing the final products all together with instruments and backdrop.
Preferred the 70's experimental beatles but even the early stuff is good compared to todays charts, maybe thats just my age.

Thanks Smiff. If the heads're mailed to the UK, there'll be about a 4-6 week wait for shipment once things go through customs and such. And, mail charges can be murder.

The mics look buildable especially the ribbon mic (the square one I think). I've got epoxy putty and making a square block on a wall anchor should do just fine. Same with the round

The Vox in the picture looks like the AC100 and the small acoustic guitar in the pics you downloaded looks like a Ramirez not an Ibanez like I thought. The Coca-Cola fridge could be made from a Ferrero Chocolate box...

Anyway, the Vox site showed a gold "VOX" on a dark brown shield with gold pin striping around the edges.

Siquisiri, here're links for some guitars:

I haven't ordered from them, yet.

Mike, those Guitars look exactly like mine. Paul's bass is there too on previous page but says it's only 4" instead of 6.7". Best to inquire as it looks exactly like mine.

I found this on eBay:

A brown RIC --- the body would have to be painted black but the fret board is the right color:

https://cgi.ebay.com/Electric-Guita...tem&pt=Guitar_Accessories&hash=item1c07ca1138

For the Roof Top concert, I found George's Tele but it'll need to be painted to look like the Rosewood:

https://cgi.ebay.com/Electric-Guita...tem&pt=Guitar_Accessories&hash=item1c07ca116d

And John's Epiphone:

https://cgi.ebay.com/1-6-Beyond-Gib...tem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3ef4c4fa7d

But, it'll need a bit of customizing to look like the Maplewood. Better might be this:

https://cgi.ebay.com/1-6-Beyond-Gib...tem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item414610179e

But, you'll need to paint the f-holes... Even better might be this:

https://cgi.ebay.com/B-B-KING-LUCIL...tem&pt=Guitar_Accessories&hash=item53e0c11d40

It's the closest to an Epiphone Casino short of making one from scratch but, you'll need to paint the body maple and added the f-holes.

Same thing happened to me from Store-rooms...I just ordered another Rickenbacker from another store on eBay, and got it yesterday. Figure I'll use the parts from it to make up my Hofner.

Anyway, here's some pics of my progress. You'll see the straps I made up for my John Rickenbacker and George's Gretsch, plus drumsticks (I think they're undersized, but they look good in Ringo's hands), and my custom microphone and stand. I'm waiting on some cord I bought online for the "wires" from the mics and guitars, and have my VOX amps order on the way. Not shown is my Ringo drum set, since it's the same as everyone else's. What do you guys think of my paint jobs on the heads?

Looks totally "Top of the Most to the Pop of the Most" Capn. Love your John paintup, all the hair colors are great. And that Rick looks pretty cool there. How did you connect the straps to the guitars? Curious about that. And the mic also looks great. You may want to detail your guitars (pinstripe your gretsch and paint guitar strings with a silver sharpie). I need mics and guitar wires and may make amp stands with wire hangers. I got 3 of Set 1 on the way, will paint the VOX emblems silver and may try to detail the cross hatchings on cabinets with a white pencil or chalk if I can. Anyway, great work!

Your set is gonna look Fab.

Thanks, pjam! John's guitar was easy...there's little screws right where the straps would connect, so I just unscrewed them, put a little hole in the strap, and screwed them back in! George's was a little harder...there was a pin in the back, so I used that for that side, but there was nothing in the front, so I took a small nail I had lying around and CAREFULLY tapped it into the guitar, then used that.

I'm planning on detailing the guitars, my next project is to build the hofner...ugh!

Mike, just spotted you over at the osw (i'm smiff there too) and seen those papercraft guitars you posted, brilliant! did you confirm that they were the right dimensions in 1/6?

I'm going to print the hofner out and have a go at building the body & neck in sculpy/mixed media tomorrow. I've been searchin for the last few days for resources to accurately build one of these and possibly produce a garage kit and the pdf serves as a great set of blueprints, thanks!
