There was no steel book for the initial release of Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes was a Best Buy exclusive, but it was not a steelbook, but a metalpak. Steelbook is actually a trade mark and manufactured exclusively by Scanova. The steel books are recognized by their "spine"; for Dawn (and other metalpaks/ironpaks), the front and back cover are hinged together.

Last fall Fox re-released a bunch of movies in steelbook that were exclusive to Best Buy, including Rise and Dawn. However, the re-release of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes did NOT include the 3D version that was included in the original metalpak release.

Going by GOTG2 and the new POTC I've got to assume that The Last Jedi will be the first 4K SW flick. TFA and RO will both look jaw dropping in 4K based on their theatrical presentations.
