well, u guys can still order it from amazon UK.
i did. it's actually surprisingly cheap. at least it is for me.
i think the price is worth it cos of all the extra goodies you're getting, like the delorean blueprints, the old west photo of marty & doc, the postcards, the sports almanac, the posters, etc. true collector's stuff...

Has it been confirmed to be region free and work on US Region 1 players ?

For a limited time, Warner's DVD 2 BLU program is accepting any DVD from any studio (no DVD-R or porn).

Saw that on friendface last night. Damn I am gonna go broke.

Has there been any confirmation that the awesome Briefcase edition of Inception would be coming to the states or not?

No briefcase for the US unless you import it. And since it's a Warner Bros. release, it's Region Free.

I could swear I remember reading that it wasn't. Hmmmm, need to do some more research, I'd really like the tin if possible.

Edit: I guess I read wrong, sweet, I'm getting the tin for sure!

Oh wow, any DVD??????

So, just so I am clear, that means, you don't have the have the specific DVD corresponding to the blu-ray title you want?

From the FAQ:
Q: Can I really swap any DVD for a new Blu-ray disc?
A: Yes, qualifying DVDs include any pre-recorded discs that contain professionally produced content purchased at a regular retail or e-commerce store (excluding adult content). The DVDs can contain film, TV, sports, animation or documentary content and can be from Warner Bros. or non-Warner Bros. Blank or copied DVDs do not qualify.

Q: Does it have to be a movie DVD?
A: No, also qualifying are DVDs containing TV, sports, animation or documentary content.

Sounds like it! :thud:

In that case, I just ordered V for Vendetta, Christmas Vacation, Corpse Bride, Pan's Labrintyh and Robin Hood for just a hair over $6 each with shipping. Not bad! Now I just have to dig out 5 old crappy DVD's.

Just sent my old DVD's out. I even put in Bonus Disc that I know I'll never watch. I also called to make sure they'll accept the "Bonus Material" disc and the lady said yes. However I have been hearing different stories from people who called in. But from what she told me, ANY DVD, except porn, or DVD-R. We'll see.
