Nothing much from them yet apart from Black Krrsantan turning up.

>Main antagonist is Q'ira played by Emilia Clarke. An elderly Cad Bane is her right hand man, Cad Bane is played by one of the Mando stuntmen but is voiced by Corey Burton, looks cool in live action. The duo are the big bads of the series.
>
>Boba goes around uniting the Mad Max-esque gangs and minor syndicates who are at each others throats after Jabba's demise. Crimson Dawn at the same time are trying to gain a foothold on Tatooine. They view Boba as a threat and send various bounty hunters after him, including Black Krrsantan the Wookie. Black gives Boba a brutal beatdown similar to the Mudhorn battering Din in season 1 of the Mandalorian. Boba gives it his all though and gains black's respect. Various other bounty hunters go after Boba but he defeats them all.
>
>Boba when he visits one of the cities is approached by a street girl, he views her like himself when he was young and he takes her somewhat under his wing as a protege, yes I know folks will moan at this, but the actress is really good. She's an important catalyst for later.
>
>Muchi from the Bad Batch is in the show. Bib owned her, and mistreated her. Boba tames her and uses her as a mount in an episode. Later frees her and let's her go her own way.Rex and Echo show up in episode 5 (played by Temuera too obviously) he looks awesome, he has his Endor uniform and the Bad Batch cloak/poncho thing, Echo looks good too, his skin tone is mostly normalized, he has a new hand, Despite their age, they both still got stamina. Rex's reasons for seeking Boba aren't made clear as they're interrupted by more bounty hunters lead by Bossk when they meet. Boba and Bossk fight, but Bossk compliments him for his achievements thus far in uniting the underworld and it's nothing personal. Boba, Rex and Echo and Fennec mop the floor with the bounty hunters. Boba spares Bossk and Bossk then has a drink with Boba, Shand and the clones. Rex says he'll be in contact with Boba again once Boba deals with the issues he currently has. Rex and Boba leave.
>
>After Boba unites the gangs, and various Hunters failed to kill him and Shand, Q'ira finally allows Bane to try at Boba again. Bane scouts the area and notices Boba's affection for the girl mentioned earlier, Boba is starting to view her like a daughter, Bane kidnaps her and contacts Boba, who is shocked Bane is not dead. Bane and Boba duel it out one last time, Boba wins, Cad Bane finally hits the bucket. The girl is okay and comes to live with Boba and Fennec, Boba starts to train here.
>
>Q'ira is still out there however and isn't dealt with, she decides to hold off on further advances to Tatooine after Banes death.
>
>Rex once again arrives this time Echo is not with him, he's with Din. Din tells him that they are going to attempt to take back Mandalore and Din wants Boba by his side.
>
>Continued Mandalorian Season 3..
You beat me to it. I had to go back to page 54 to find it. yeah, nothing much yet although considering the leaks are all present day and most of the show so far has been flashbacks, there's still hope...if you liked the leaks as I did...

Without Grogu, I don't see have high hopes for Mando season 3. I predict Mando's just gonna be a side character while Filoni just brings more and more of his own fan fic characters into it.
I never needed Grogu. For me it was enough seeing where the Mandalorian, pretty much raised by a cult, goes as he wrestles with what it means to be a Mandalorian. Din D'jarin's a breath of fresh air - a badass with a code that comes into question.

Anyway for me the show got Filoni'd and slid from being something new and fresh to same old same old. Grogu will be back I suspect as sort of a young Yoda in all but name. Comfortable to watch, but not ground breaking.

As for Boba, don't know enough about constructing film re script, editing, pacing, music to get why some things, even low budget work. Seize the imagination. Part of the problem for me is the redundancy. It was moving seeing Din D'jarin sit silently through the fall of the hammer on metal, not flinching as memories of a massacre flow through him:crying. Boba twitching in an aquarium like one of those aquarium diver toys that bob up and down isn't having the same impact:computer.

Neither, for me, is having a Wookie that looks like:
Beast.jpg

But I don't hate it the way I hated FWS so that's something.:bunnydanc

Tho I won't be surprised if F&F rip themselves are, and the aquarium stuff is leading to the whole Tusken tribe getting slaughtered - either the kid or the badass skinny Tusken transgender/female dying in his arms, he buries or burns everyone 'coz the badass Boba totally fails or some *&^%, then there's another ripoff where he gets revenge killing whoever kills the Tuskens, and then he becomes the desert wanderer who finds Fennec. The End. :pfft:

Had someone told me before this show was announced that we would be getting a Boba Fett musical where he actually dances I would’ve thought you were crazy lol
:rotfl

Had someone assured me that dancing Boba Fett would be preceded by him having a DMT trip of spiritual enlightenment from snorting a lizard gifted by a tribe of "thoughtful" Tuskens (who beat and tortured him, yet he repeatedly returned to)... I would've said go **** yourself and stop wasting my time. :lol

I actually liked the dance at the end.

But then again, I also watch youtube videos of New Zealanders doing the Haka at weddings and stuff.

I LOL so hard when slow dunce Fett opened the clam shell and was trying to be respectful and said “Oh umm how nice umm thank you” but before his dumb *** could finish the sentence that Tusken dealer blew that powder in his face so fast I was crying laughing.

IMO it's sad that a relatively silent Tusken played by an extra has more presence than the main character. The HT had better include the lizard.

Yeah, but what popped into my head was, so when did he learn this? Like, is it like the Matrix where the lizard plugs you in, and at some point said "and now you can do an entire catalogue of tribal dances?" WTF. :bunnydanc :banana:bunnydanc

Ah, so much hilarity in the comments here, great stuff. :lol

Okay some thoughts:

Yes this episode was MUCH better than the last. Not a high bar but it succeeded.

Obviously for me to enjoy this show and its title character I have to accept that this is no longer Fett as I interpreted him from the OT nor the early 90's lore about him post-Sarlacc. Massive news flash I know, lol.

And to summarize/recap my biggest beefs (in addition to the above) is TM's physique, constant helmet removing, the whole "theme park" aesthetic to the city environment, and the seemingly endless regurgitation of iconic scenes from other movies (Dances w/Wolves, T2 biker bar, countless train heists, etc.) as well as copying scenes from other SW movies/shows. As far as the softening of his character I'm even bummed to see my son (who isn't nearly as obsessive as I am, lol) noticing. When he and the Tuskens crafted his gaffi stick my son said "oh on Mando I just assumed that he killed Tuskens for his gear, not that they gave it to him." Even though he wasn't saying that as a criticism it bummed me out that up until that moment even TM Fett was a murderous badass to him.

But I think from his point of view he's accepting Fett's "reprogramming" the way we all accepted Uncle Bob in T2. So the question becomes does the reprogramming fit from a narrative sense (obviously yes in T2) and is the new version cool in it's own right (definitely yes for T2, less so for this new Fett, lol.)

But having said all that it looks like I'll be breaking ranks with some of you to state that I *loved* the Mos Espa scenes this time around. I did think that Fett looked cool walking around (and it looked like they either used a double for the helmet scenes or TM's belt was cinching his waste in tighter than last episode) and I loved his whole demeanor in the mayor's office. He was taking charge, he was speaking for himself, and when the mayor's stupid aid said "my apologies, I didn't see your litter" I *loved* that helmeted Fett just stood there totally silent refusing to even acknowledge such a stupid comment. YES! :rock

And then he just marched past him, ignored the aid's pleas, activated the door himself and told the mayor "you know damn well who I am." The mayor was super cool to me. Awesome look, awesome puppetry, and I really liked how he played his political cards in a way that allowed him to not fess up to the hit job while also appeasing Fett in a way that didn't get him shot dead on the spot. A very cool character IMO.

Then back to the Waikiki Hilton or whatever that cantina is called. I did realize this episode that I do like Jennifer Beals' character as well. She too has a great look and seems very comfortable in her role. It was very easy for me to buy that she runs that place. As far as Fett not knowing that the Hutts had arrived I'm totally fine with that. I mean from what has been established how would he know? So far all of his political connections are humoring him at best, seemingly kissing up to him when he's standing face to face with them with a gun but apparently scheming behind his back knowing that beyond himself and three helpers he has no means of enforcing his wishes on a grander scale (more on that later.)

Which brings me to one of my absolute favorite moments of SW in recent memory. The Hutts! And that Wookiee! Holy crap they just gave us Darth Maul level badasses for the first time in decades! Bam! All three, all at once. I want those suckers on my shelf, NOW. :lol The Hutts were great, better than Jabba himself since 1983. And that freaking Wookiee! As of right now (obviously this could easily change next week or later this season with a stupid death or something) the OT gave us the original Fett, PT gave us Darth Maul, and now Disney gives us the Wookiee. BLOWS AWAY any villain from Mando Season 1 and 2. Blows away the bad guys from Solo. Blows away pretty much any bad guy from ST save maybe TROS Kylo Ren (Palps doesn't count because he's a Legacy villain.) That guy was awesome! Anyone get major "Lurtz" vibes from the way he carried himself, his silent growls, and utterly hate-filled stare? Damn....so freaking cool.

And I *loved* that Fett himself was fully prepared to go toe to toe with both Hutts and the Wookiee right then and there. So as cool as the three baddies were they very appropriately were forced to back down. That's how you make a badass Disney! Awesome villains make for awesome "heroes" (or let's just say protagonist in Fett's case.) I mean the Hutts had to know that one rocket (or two blaster shots) was all it'd take to end them both and that even if their Wookiee took out Fett or Fennec that their best hope was mutually assured destruction. Not a good outcome either way. But I loved their little threat and departure and holy crap that suuuuuper long stare from the Wookiee as he reluctantly turned that Fett himself held just like with Lando during Han's torture scene on Cloud City. Yes a moment in this show actually gave me OT vibes. :yess:

The sequence as a whole was basically a cooler version of the ANH:SE Docking Bay 94 scene with Fett in Han's role and the Wookiee in Fett's role and the twin Hutts taking a lot less crap than Jabba did. Even if the rest of the series is Episode 1 levels of bad I'm thrilled that I get to bask in the fact that that scene even exists and will be a fun new moment to revisit forevermore. I wish that he waited a little longer to take his helmet off after they left (sigh) but what can you do. Also it was Fennec who said "we'll need permission to kill them" which Fett did not actually acquiesce to. He just kind of stood there (much like the Wookiee) seemingly contemplating ("do I though? I could just off them and be done with it.") At least TM's performance gave me the luxury of interpreting it that way.

I've got other thoughts/criticisms for other sections of the episode but I see that I may have already passed "TLDR" territory so I'll cut this short and post those a little later, lol.

If you're talking about the black one, yeah, I really like that guy/gal -- looks like a girl's physique.

I love when s/he pops up out of the train hatch after yanking the goon down.
Yeah that was an amusing moment. I've just accepted that Favreau has decided to make her(?) the "Neytiri" of this story. I think she's supposed to be the chieftain's wife (despite female Tuskens in AOTC all having a completely differently look, no goggles...sigh) so I doubt that she and Fett will get as close as Jake and Neytiri did, lol.

It was a little annoying that they had her taking out so many more bad guys on the train than Fett but since their story choices going back to Mando required that he instantly lose all of his gear I can accept it because I never really saw him as a "perfect weapon" sans gear or ninja type character.

I totally thought "Lurtz" especially when he growled.:rock

I see this a different way I guess.

First, I fear Black Wookie will become an ally -- even a friend by Season's end. Especially if they killed off Fennec to give the show some drama for Fett. So all the hard stares just didn't work for me.

Personally, I didn't care for the Hutts. Steve and Mindy just looked alot like TPM Jabba to me. The fan made no sense -- can she cool herself with that? If she's hot, why isn't there a canopy for her? They may have looked more sinister in shadows under a canopy. Anyway, Anchor-chin didn't do it for me either. I'll give the creators credit for coming up with Twin Jabbas as something new... but I didn't think their entrance was that great.

That all said, I will agree that the three will likely be more interesting that Moff Gideon.

I hope there is another level of Master Villain behind them, supporting them. The true Villain of the show.

Yep. Tusken Ninja is my favorite character so far on the show.

Oh wow if Lurtz Wookiee becomes an ally then yes that will be super lame. I'm optimistic (maybe foolishly so) that that won't happen though so I'm enjoying the hopeful foreshadowing of an awesome showdown later on.

As for the female Hutt's fan I took it as her using it to partially obscure her mouth so that someone who knew Huttese couldn't read her lips while she was communicating with her brother.
