Who the hell would need a tanning bed on Tatooine? It has two suns!In episode 3 we'll see the two Gamorrean guards installing a tanning bed next to the Bacta tank...
Which is exactly what they are thinking; we need to explore this more we have so much to add.Vader removes his helmet when he's alone. It'll be cool to see him without his helmet while he's alone thinking about Padme or something. The poor guy, constantly in physical and emotional pain.
Absolutely no one, which makes it all the more possible for this show lol...Who the hell would need a tanning bed on Tatooine? They have two suns!
Was George clear about that? Did he mean his final, final final or final final final cuts? This is only m guess, but I feel like Vader is (and to some extent always has been) the Batman of the SW universe.
You mention him, you can show his silhouette in crappy CW shows....you can even have an entire show based on him AS A LITTLE KID.....but NO BATMAN IN ANY OF THE GARBAGE TIER DC MEDIA!! That's been a loooong-standing rule.
Disney must be thinking the same thing. You always gotta save "the big dawg." Cameo in RO...maybe a flashback in Kenobi.....but no full out series on D +. He's bigger and better than that.
Even a starring role in a 2 hour theatrical movie might be off limits. Just like George allegedly said in the contract: don't **** with my final cuts....he considers Vader's story OVER and done with. Maybe they aren't allowed to make a full on Vader movie.
Honestly, modern day Boba kinda has that tanning bed glow compared to jumpsuit Boba...In episode 3 we'll see the two Gamorrean guards installing a tanning bed next to the Bacta tank...

Maybe, just maybe, (rather than a desire to eat ****) it's a question of expectations. I wasn't blown away by chapter one. I have yet to watch chapter 2. Oddly enough I have no feeling of being disappointed.Well yes, but Mando is just a better show period. Vastly superior in every single way.
I felt the same way initially watching the Return, but after having time to digest it, I think what Lynch did was actually great. Good stories, like good music, must need tension and release, conflict and resolution. The Agent Cooper move was an extreme example, but can you imagine a greater feeling of relief as when Cooper finally returns as we knew him. No Twin Peaks fan could have seen that without a huge smile on their face. And it's just one more thing that makes that show, and Lynch in general, so dang interesting and distinctive. His story was about a lot more than Coop as we knew him, and his approach allowed him to tell a story that you wouldn't have gotten from any other creative mind. In some ways, it was the opposite of the constant attention to fan service that Marvel/Disney/DC/etc. always shove down our throats. Lynch essentially said, "screw the fans and screw the critics, I'm making the story I want to tell." And I appreciate anyone with the balls to do that in modern times.I don't see a lot of people here that were also in the Twin Peaks: The Return thread, but that show's situation was almost exactly what we got here.
We were sold on the idea of finally seeing Agent Cooper return to solve the mystery that had been left hanging for TWENTY FIVE YEARS.
And when the show came back........we did not get Agent Cooper. We got Kyle MacLachlan playing two characters: Mr. C, who was an evil doppelganger of Cooper, and Dougie, who was a brain-damaged clone of Cooper who was played for silly , slapstick laughs.
It. Was. Maddening. Waiting week after week, thinking, is this it? Is REAL Cooper finally gonna show up?? And the episode would have a five minute sequence of Dougie getting hit in the face with a baseball instead.
We all got Lynch'd bad.

Cooper finally returned...at the very end of the 15th episode. Then he got to be really cool and act how we wanted to see all along for exactly ONE episode, and then it was over.
It really sucked.
I will say that I don't "LOVE" Twin Peaks: The Return but there's enough good stuff that it warrants a rewatch every now and then. But it was just the worst waiting through those episodes and Lynch purposely denying the audience what we wanted, and finally giving it to us just to take it away again at the end. However, when rewatching it, it's really not that bad. It was those agonizing week-long waits that made it worse and harder to accept.
I suspect were getting "Lynch'd" here as well. The flashbacks WILL continue, all the way up to the 7th and final episode, because the flashbacks are the main storyline. The flashbacks ARE "the book of Boba Fett." The "current day Daimyo" story is essentially the b-plot and nothing major or significant will come from it. Most likely it'll end on the same shot it started on, with him on the throne, with or without Fennec at his side.
And just like Twin Peaks, if they'd just give it all to us in one go instead of these weekly drip feeds, it wouldn't be as bad.
I'm only basing this on what we've seen so far, but that's already 2/7 and they seem FAR more invested in the flashbacks than the Daimyo plotline. Would have been easier to take if all 7 eps released at once.
And I've said this before, but I do think two of the reasons Mando was so successful was because A: it had that emotional hook with Baby Yoda, and B: the "adventure of the week" format was a lot more successful with standalone stories than trying to tell one long story in serial format.
Remember how the season one finale was split in two parts and ended on a cliffhanger?? That was terrible...they never should have pulled that crap.
Without Grogu, I don't see have high hopes for Mando season 3. I predict Mando's just gonna be a side character while Filoni just brings more and more of his own fan fic characters into it.
I'll be honest his teeth started to bug me rewatching Ep1 and viewing E2. Nothing against TM must have great fluoride in the waters of NZ. Enjoying the show. I have enjoyed these two episodes more than the first two of Mando (minus the IG-11 scenes)Just noticed Fetts teeth. Must have a good dentist on Tatooine.
I think Filoni's a hack and a toady so no.Probably would be Filoni.
I do agree with you there, I liked Rebels Vader for the most part.He was one of the writers on Rebels and I thought that show did an excellent job with Vader.
I'm thinking more along the lines of his Bond villain one-liners.Ezra: “I don’t fear you!” Vader: “Then you will die braver than most.”
Ahsoka: “I won't leave you. Not this time.” Vader: “Then you will die.”
James Earl Jones makes anything sound great though.
They stole that from Evil Dead. Tree raping is a danger to all.I was afraid for Fett, all those magic tree limbs grabbing him could have been the whole tribe raping him.
I don’t know how to feel about Filoni. His Clone Wars work ranged from truly awful to truly great. Rebels was very consistent. Bad Bath was fairly average. His work on Mando was great. I just don’t know how much of these things were him vs others above him/below him.I think Filoni's a hack and a toady so no.

"Careful not to choke on your aspirations."
Comedy gold!
I really don't like how this show often ignores the language barrier between Fett and the Tuskens. In that scene right there he's speaking in plain English with no grunts or hand gestures whatsoever. To the Tuskens he's literally saying "bla bla bla bla, BLA?" while rocking on the speeder like an *****.
And they did that quite a bit. He'd make one tiny hand gesture and then speak an entire sentence as if that's what his gesture meant.
I would if the Orifice was Kathleen Kennedy. In this scenario, did his firing **** organ totally miss the Sarlacc orifice?
Not to mention that (unless I nodded off) the use of a such gestures by the Tuskens wasn't established beforehand, so his gestures were also the signing equivalent to "bla bla bla bla, BLA" as well. If he'd observed them using such gestures with respect to stopping the train or something else I'd have given it a pass, but without that it was just so silly. This dude is always in need of a protocol droid. Maybe if C-3PO had fallen into the Sarlacc pit as well lol...I really don't like how this show often ignores the language barrier between Fett and the Tuskens. Yeah, how much was Filoni and how much was others is a good question. I mean, we could say the same for George Lucas himself and his work being uneven. A lot of that had to do with the people around him. Kershner directs ESB, brilliant. Lucas directs AOTC, a bit clunky. I do think I'd rather have Favreau influencing who we get as a character with Fett as I didn't love CW Boba, but I'm ok with seeing where it goes...I don’t know how to feel about Filoni.
