It's a shame that it's only 7 episodes long. Bob has brought a wave of fun activity to this place.

When is the next Star Wars series due to start?

I haven't seen a date yet. IMDB just says 2022.

Filming only began in October 2021, so it could be late this year.

Like, how freaking stupid is Disney with what they are writing right now? Andor? The Acoylte? Lando? I don’t care about them whatsoever.
Well, if the property wasn't run by focus groups and accountants you might care about them a lot, with good writing and a director with a resonant vision.

But the possibility of successfully creating good Star Wars content is approximately three thousand-seven hundred and twenty to one.

You have Darth Vader, with a storyline exactly like you said, that would be better than the other 3. Imagine an entire series of the Rogue One hallway scene. That’s the show.
I'm in the minority on this board but I've always been of the mindset that where Vader is concerned, less is more. I thought they overdid it a bit in that scene and I'm 100% confident that any series focused on Vader would make a complete mockery of that character.

I would take that risk of to get a good TV show. He survived the PT. Vader should be easy to write for anyone who understands him. I’d consider it a win if we got one RO level scene out of it then just forget the rest of the show.

Some men just want to watch the world burn. 😐
He survived the PT.
I understand the PT has its fans and why, but like all things Star Wars that point is endlessly debatable.

One of the most iconic villains of all time shouldn't be easy to write for anyone, IMO. As for 'who understands him' take a long hard look at the company that owns this property and the direction they've been taking with it and other legacy IPs.

LOL ... not worth the mental anguish.

The final scene in Episode 7 will be Fett waking up and finding that he's still trapped in the sarlacc and the whole show was one big, lucid dream. Then he climbs out and gets smacked in the face by some Jawas.

okay it just kinda occurred to me. what are the chances since we saw the twins that rotta would end up showing up in book of boba?

They tarnished this version of Fett beyond repair for me, but I still love OT/EU Fett. At this point there is nothing they could do that would make me stop liking my head canon for Star Wars. I already ignore so much, so really the “risk” is nonexistent for me.

I like the PT, primarily because I was 10-15 years old during the trilogy, grew up with it, was born after the OT, so the PT was “my star wars” as the OT was for so many. But I can understand the flaws of the PT and the characterization for so many.

I think Vader from ROTS through ANH is quite one dimensional, thus easy to write. He is a ruthless baddie. He hunts down Jedi and Rebel scum, kills them, and moves on. I would say ESB/ROTJ Vader would be more difficult to write. I think many could write a few lines of Vader fighting some Jedi while trying to find out information.

Makes sense.

Whoever that writer is needs to be ready with the one-liners.

Probably would be Filoni. He was one of the writers on Rebels and I thought that show did an excellent job with Vader.

Ezra: “I don’t fear you!” Vader: “Then you will die braver than most.”

Ahsoka: “I won't leave you. Not this time.” Vader: “Then you will die.”

James Earl Jones makes anything sound great though.

Yes! This is ironic considering that currently EVERYONE has teeth like this in hollywood. As I was saying in another thread (or maybe this one), I was watching 1883 (Yellowstone Prequel) and the frontier people all have teeth like Ross! It really takes you out of what is otherwise a very well done era throwback...
