Hmm. When they left the "Paradise", Gammorreans were right behind them, yet in the next scene, they are nowhere to be seen just to rush into action two minutes later. Weird mistake.

Yeah was thinking the same thing. Think Favreau wrote this script in about 20 minutes. He deserves to get trashed for writing this mess,

I don't think Morrison is the issue based on what I've seen of his acting ability. I think he's boxed in by poor writing and direction.

I think you should go back and rewatch the scene where the out of shape 60 year old tries "running" away from the sand people camp. It's worse than a bad fan film. He similarly struggles throughout.

Something felt off, I was quite surprised to see that Robert Rodriguez directed this episode as the fight with the shield assassins was very underwhelming.
Loved the Sand Kraken fight, but overall it was a bit of an inauspicious start, and all a bit rote.

I'm still hopeful that things will improve but that was not a good start. I know I'm beating a dead horse but Morrison really feels like a poor choice to play the character of Boba Fett. Not much about him feels like the mysterious bounty hunter from the OT that became a legend.

He had the physical presence potential but he's just not the guy to anchor a series like this, and Wen is fine doesn't have "it" either. Morrison doesn't have the charisma and the acting prowess to draw you in - he's not interesting to watch as an actor. Making it doubly surprising that they'd make this a heavily "helmet off" series. He would maybe have been fine in occasional removed helmet scenes in a mostly helmet-on series.

60 year old Uncle Fester Fett in his desert pajamas returns to camp with a 7 year old so he can remain a prisoner. Later Fennec has to whisper to him what people are telling him and how he should act.
