Renner is on his way to being the next big thing I think. I thought he was cool in 28 Days Later and loved The Hurt Locker. If those two team up I would be seeing that for sure.

He was also the best part of S.W.A.T. as the bad guy.

That said, I heard from two friends that he was not great in this. Both also said it was way too talky. One friend really didn't like it at all, said it was the same old thing with a new guy. The other said it was entertaining but not great. Both agreed that Norton stole the movie.

I really wanted to see this, but now I'm waiting for bluray/dvd/pay-per-view/cable/free TV. Should go well with the Total Rekall.

looking forward to seeing this this weekend. I want to buy all three other films on Blu Ray and do a rewatch starting tomorrow with one film a night until the Saturday.

interested to see how this story parallels The Bourne Ultimatum.

My dad really likes this series so I'm sure I'll end up seeing this with him, I only ever watched the originals in the theatre, never got that into them, not bad just never grabbed me, but I do think this one looks pretty good. I like me some Ed Norton.

I loved the other Bourne movies and own them on dvd and blu ray both, lol. Definitely picking this one up. Still debating on seeing it in theaters, but I might cave in. It's this or Expendables 2 this month.

Renner is one of the most underrated actors in hollywood. He's not alone on that list though. It's a long one. Mark Strong is up there with him. Love those guys, but I just don't see them in enough films, sadly.

I just didn't like the first Expendables. It was just blah and had no sense of direction.

It was like The Avengers for 80's action stars, except, none of them were interesting characters. :lol

^ It was terrible.

But this one should be better. :D They got Simon West! The guy directed Con Air. That's Nic Cage's most badass movie. :lol

Well, personally, I thought the first Expendables was awesome and the second looks just as good. It's not as immersive as the Bourne movies, but it's still fun as all hell to watch. I mean, it IS like Avengers with 80's action heroes, lol.

I haven't even seen the 1st one, all I know is Arnolds back and with Sly and Bruce. Add Chuck Norris and Van Damme for good measure and I'm there.

Maybe there will be a director's cut on Blu Ray? Not sure why that would've even been a negotiating factor. Chuck's not exactly a hot ticket action star anymore, he's lucky they wanted him in it at all.
