Are you talking "whacked" in the little kid with a stick sense or the fat Italian with a gun sense?
Ha..I was wondering if some would interpret it as the gun route, but na.. good old fashioned punch to the face and hitting their head. The thing is it's just a matter of time, somebody with a big ego who can't accept they are in the wrong when confronted, is going to attack me first eventually.
In this case I couldn't see the jerks as they were seated way down from where we were sitting. So I couldn't even pin point even if I wanted to complain or confront them. And that whole process would mean I would lose watching the movie. But I was really tempted to find and hit one of them on the back of their head and then immediately return back to my seat.
There have been times when I told people near me who were talking or opening their phone during the movie to stop it and again reminded them during half time.
The best one was when a guy kept occasionally kicking the seat behind me, I turned around in my seat standing on my knees and told him that he better stop it NOW. He and his other friends just left the whole row behind us and sat on the other end of the theatre then. I am a skinny guy who probably will get beaten up good when if I do end up in a big fight, but somebody ruins my cinema experience I am going to give them hell and will go swinging in a fight before I fall down.
I usually avoid Friday night shows to avoid such noisy crowd. But one of my friends didn't want to wait further as the movie was already delayed here.
For my most awaited movies I usually go to the morning Friday opening shows, the crowd that time usually are the ones who also have been anticipating those movies like myself and aren't the ones who ruin the experience for others. Sadly there was no morning show for this movie.
I rarely go to horror movies in theatres, but I knew I didn't want to miss this experience in the theatre despite the possible nuisance.
