I would do this license plate (lower left the 2003 Series, Private Vehicle):

Instead of Lakshadweep-01 it'd say Pankot Palace-MR and instead of H-1479 I'd have it say K-MA35 for Kali Ma and 1935, the year the film is supposed to take place.

and keep the India flag.
