Not that I haven't seen a lot of weak writing over the past decade or so (at least) but I don't think the real problem is the writers, it's risk-averse execs and accountants along with a complacent mass audience.Just no! It might also be that I suppose. If there were more original ideas around, maybe it'd cure the complacency a bit. Sometimes too much faith is placed on movie grosses.
