Well the lid is lifted for the Phoenix Joker'. I am sure there'll be a DX or 1/4 from Hot Toys - Prime 1, Queen Studios and a new studio from an ex Hot Toys sculptor are all making them - let's not forget that Hot Toys, no matter how popular and mass produced they are, are still high end toys.

For the past two years SDCC were very Marvel driven. In terms of Marvel now all Endgame is pretty much locked in and ordered, with 5 or so from that line already released. I imagine they'll revisit Avengers 1 line. With that I think they'll now focus on DC, after all what else are they going to promote Marvel wise?

Deadpool is going to start selling like hot cakes if that's true. It makes sense, though. I imagine that Hot Toys would have gotten licensing approval of Josh Brolin for the Thanos portrait.

I'm really banking on some great DC surprises at this show. I still got those good feels for a Batfleck 1/4, Joker or either size and some old Batman 1/6 announced. If the rumour of 1/6 Cable is true, then maybe it'll be a trend of cosbabies matching with 1/6, so should be some good news! Makes sense for some DC entries to be made seeing as aside from upcoming Black Widow End Game will be wrapping up its line mostly by the end of the year so they're going to need some new stuff. And DC is a relatively untapped mine as of this point compared to Star Wars and DC.

Calling it - Joker, Wonder Woman, a 1/4 surprise, couple of old Batman films... SHAZAM!

If not then I'm going to pull the trigger on some DC statues to fill the void.

Hope I'm wrong but I fear you will be very disappointed. Not expecting anything beyond the Batman Forever, WW84 and Birds of Prey stuff they've already shown.

Marvel will take centre stage as usual. Time to stop deluding ourselves that HT care about DC.

Fixed. :dunno

I wouldn't mind a Phoenix Joker. I mean, what the hell happened? They made a bunch of crap from the Harley Queen bomb, but nothing from the billion dollar Joker film?

They don?t make figures based on box office revenue. Harley is a popular product, bomb or not.
So is Joker obviously, but we are only just now getting licensed collectibles from that film.

True but you know they'll show those prototypes a few more times just to torment us lol.

Hot Toys can't hurt me anymore. I know now, finally ... they're hollow and filled with lies.

Hot Toys is dead to me. Dead like their DC lines.

I really hope they'll drop the DC license. And I hope it goes to Blitzway since they stick to their word and released the Ecto-1.

This is why I’m getting out of 1/6 collecting and going into statues. I have less room for statues but at least there is variety. Hot Toys does not give a crap about anything except marvel and Star Wars. They pooped out the Justice League, but I actually thought these figures were good. Heck, I just got JL Flash and Deluxe Batman today and I love them.

But as a new statue collector, I have the Prime 1 Arkham Knight Catwoman, Dark Knight Returns Batman and Batman Hush Huntress, with the Hush
Poison Ivy on pre order, all characters Hot Toys wouldn’t be caught dead making into 1/6.

Now I love the MCU, don’t get me wrong, but those movies are done. It’s called ENDGAME for a reason. I’m pretending every marvel movie after endgame doesn’t exist, including that p*ss poor excuse of a spider man movie (seriously, it felt like 70% of that movie was Peter Parker, who gives a f about that?)
Now would be the perfect time hot toys can do some DC stuff, they have the Arkham series full of characters they can do, but they they won’t because they are dumb as hell. Their Arkham knight Harley won’t be out until storm trooper or iron man number 1 million comes out, and it won’t even hold a candle to what Prime 1 did with their Arkham knight Harley.

So the 20th is most likely going to be existing figures close-up, and the 23rd is new prototypes from the sound of it. Still sticking with my thinking that they're done with Marvel now, only Black Widow coming up in the immediate future - the Eternals haven't even had a trailer so nothing will be shown of them. So that leaves them with what? Redoing Avengers1 and maybe a Mr. Blobby Iron Man variant and a couple of Jackson ******* Storm Troopers. Now they will DC it after all this time!

And if they don't, hello Prime1 x Blitzway statue here I come.

Dropping any license doesn't seem to be their M.O.

Blitzway struggles with release dates and production sometimes based on what I've seen, but at least it gets made eventually. Although their Bruce Lee license seemed to be more or less a non-starter.

They should just call it Marvel showcase.

There's that buzzword ''inclusive''. I wonder how inclusive it will be for people who'd like to see 1/6 scale Movie Masterpiece Series stuff other than Marvel and Star Wars....
