Well...

You do get one of those awesome boxes if you order...pizza isn't anything to write home about, though.

This is true. What was I thinking?? I guess I'm still pissed that I had a Batman pizza in my own zip code(that Domino's is 5 minutes away) that one day and I didn't get it.:rotfl:rotfl

i think heath ledger should be awarded a posthumous oscar for his role as the joker.

he's just breathtaking in all the clips i've seen so far!

I'm trying to avoid all these new clips but end up clicking them anyways...unfortunately my plans on seeing this opening night have ended because I didn't reserve my seats. Looks like I may have to see it with a bunch of kiddies

What? Fandango still shows like, 4 theaters in my area with multiple midnight showings still available. Where do you live?

I'm in Dallas right now but making a trip down to Tulsa to visit some family around that time. :monkey2

Anyone know what the difference is between the regular score and the limited edition score? I just the LE version on Amazon but there was no info, just a different cover.

No, I'm wondering that myself, but I got the LE just to be safe, shouldn't be missing anything from the regular. I'll be bummed if it's just alternate cover art or something like that, I'm hoping for bonus DVD or more music.

It's probably going to end up being only a booklet and/or behind-the-scenes DVD. I know it sounds odd to say "only a..." about this, but I'd rather see an LE Soundtrack have MORE MUSIC. The other stuff...that's what DVD and Blu-Ray supplements are for. :D

I'm with you, I'm crossing fingers that it'll be a more comprehensive score, I love the music in these films and it seems from the clips thus far, that Zimmer and Howard kept the motif from the first for characters and situations, while surely bringing some new stuff to the table.

There was a site about a week ago that posted clips of each track on the CD. It's been taken down, but I had a chance to listen to them. Very, very awesome music...although the Joker's motif is very bizarre and chaotic. But the Batman theme (Molossus on the BB soundtrack) has been expanded upon and greatly improved (more than it already was).

Ya I previewed some of the tracks, sounds promising. You can also pick up on new renditions of Corynorhinus, the love theme from Begins, in many of the clips with Bruce and Rachel.

If Rachel does die in this movie, I'm excited over the potential mourningful theme they'd come up with for Bruce's coping with that.

Man I just keep reading the reviews of this movie from diff sources like rottentomatoes and ign and it's just incredible how this movie is getting raving reviews- I just hope my expectations don't get so high I'm disappointed when I see it!

Hell yes!! Nice, right in the back, which is pretty much the middle of the screen!! I miss Japan!! They had seating like that for all the movie theaters!!

Yeah this local theater chain started this a year or two a girl ago, and it is fantastic. You just have to get tickets early, but it is a million times better than waiting in line for countless hours. :horror

I haven't been visiting the DK threads too much lately. I'm trying not to read too much. But I did see what Kevin Smith said about it (sorry if it's already been posted).

“Without giving anything away, this is an epic film (and trust me: based on the sheer size and scope of the visuals and storytelling, that’s not an overstatement). It’s the “Godfather II” of comic book films and three times more earnest than “Batman Begins”. Easily the most adult comic book film ever made. Heath Ledger didn’t so much give a performance as he disappeared completely into the role; I know I’m not the first to suggest this, but he’ll likely get at least an Oscar nod (if not the win) for Best Supporting Actor. The flick’s nearly three hours long and only leaves you wanting more (in a great way). I can’t imagine anyone being disappointed by it. Nolan and crew have created something close to a masterpiece.”
