Just snagged the theatrical poster with Batman standing with the Bat symbol burnt into the building off eBay, $40, which stings a bit just for a poster, and my luck it'll be mass sold after the movie and I'll be pissed but oh well, I really want it and better to get it now. If the film is successful as it looks like it'll be, these things will skyrocket after the film, so actually, any rare items you may want, I'd suggest buying off eBay and such now before the movie because after July 18th I'm guessing you'll pay good money to get them.

Yeah, I did the same a few weeks ago. Same price too. But it is one of the best theatrical posters I've EVER seen. I had to have it. Plus, it's going to be the backdrop for my HT Dark Knight shelf.

Funny thing is...

I remember when it was released that a lot of board members said it made Batman look like a villain and out of control...that it was misleading. With the new trailers showing Gotham and Dent turning against Batman and one review stating that the film ends with Batman on the run, I'm starting to wonder if it isn't so misleading after all...

Well,

Going by the 12 clips that were briefly available, it seems the Joker's goons dressed as Batman appear more than once, so perhaps Batman himself isn't so much an outlaw but in the public eye he is, be very curious to see if the press conference of people speaking out against Batman is based on Bruce's actions or on the assumption of the copycats doing stuff thinking it's really Batman.

Regardless, the more I look at it as my desktop for my PC, the more I like the image and had to have the poster, and I'm not sure it will see mainstream release and I KNOW it'll be pricier by release because there will be less of them and the demand will be higher.

It's really an amazing poster and worth it. I love mine, really a highlight of the posters I have here in my collection room. :rock

This movie looks like it is going to be so huge... so it's a good idea that you are snagging it now before it becomes scarce.

And BOO on that Dominos game... FL is not eligible. :banghead

Hey, that doesn't look like the Joker! :lol

Just kidding after all the "That Joker sculpt doesn't look like Heath" banter I've heard. :lol

Amazing shot Steve, minimal prosthetics yet horrifyingly effective!

Heath actually came up with the design of the scars. He also brought his own mascara and makeup onto set during pre-prod and showed the makeup artist exactly the look he was going for. Thereafter, the artists replicated it for filming.

It was essentially his creation. He owned the role...

...which is why I fear any sort of re-casting.

That is pretty kewl. Sounds like he was channeling Lon Chaney a bit.

You may not be eligible for the game, but you should be able to get into the vault. The one thing I like, it samples several tracks from DK.

So that's it, huh? The last theatrical poster. :monkey2

Greatest poster EVER.

Great poster indeed. It Rocks it to the core of the Film's main conflict/theme, all in one Image. Save the Best for last. Brilliant. Thanks B! :rock

That guy is not only a horrible writer, but he tries harder than a Diablo Cody script to be witty. He's the guy that if you told him the sky was Blue would go into a Comic Book Guy from the Simpsons rant about how "Actually, when looking at the spectrum and deducing it down...." All the while you stand there like the principal in Billy Madison....

Somebody already posted that over at the Home Theater Forum and I said there what I'll say here: Devin had his mind made up about hating this flick a long time ago and even though he is actually saying he likes it, he's still backtracking by saying the run time is too long, Nolan can't do action scenes properly, Ledger isn't really deserving of an Oscar nomination, etc. It absolutely kills him that every single review of the movie so far has been completely positive and he's trying to be the lone voice of reason(in his own warped little mind) by pointing out the film's flaws. The bottom line is that he's a pompous, arrogant a$$ who has about as much business reviewing films as I have doing open heart surgery. Hell, this is the guy that said Pirates 2: Dead Man's Chest "packs as many thrills and as much fun into 30 minutes as any of the Indiana Jones films did into their entire running times".

I can not help but to buy into some of the hype:eek:. I will definately go to see it soon when it's released. I hope to be surprised. Who knows, if i like it i might even pick up a Dark Knight HT fig. If they are still available somewhere that is.
