Re: The Dark Knight: 1/6th scale Batmobile Collectible (relaunch)
Time for my daily ongoing celebration of this relaunch
Time for my daily ongoing celebration of this relaunch
and then another one will be released when the next movie comes out
YAy
I don't care if HT makes a million of these as long as I own one of those million.
I could care less what my collection is worth money wise because it's a worth a ton for me emotionally.
I don't sell my stuff anymore, I buy to keep.

I wouldn't be surprised if they do the camo version, but I like the black better.
Yeah, that's definitely a consideration. I eventually tracked this bad boy down, and let me tell you, I had a tough time figuring out what to do with it. Ultimately, I had to just put it in its box, because the space it took up to display was the same space it took me to display 4 or 5 PFs. It really needs to go on top of a big display case, or in some kind of wacky custom coffee table like that guy with the Borg avatar (I think) had. Otherwise, it's just gonna be sitting on the floor.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYAOT4kdPjE&feature=youtu.be
Wow had no idea the original was that big
Even if this is affordable I'll have to ask myself the question of I am actually going to be able to display it (no point spending the money and keeping it in a box)
Anyone got a handy link to the guy that put his in a coffee table?
Dude. . .it's the BatmobileI disagree.
I think there's a reason Nolan calls it the Tumbler and NOT the Batmobile, it's NOT a sleek sports car hybrid which we have traditionally seen in Batman films, comic books and cartoons - it is something a bit different. Calling it a Batmobile ignores that fact.
That would be like calling 'The Bat' from TDKR a Batwing.
It's NOT called Batwing and I think that's because it's not exactly like a traditional plane. It appears to be more of a hovercraft type vehicle, but I guess we'll find out when the film comes out.
I think the camo is still a given, but I'm genuinely interested to see how that is handled now. Had they not re-released the black Tumbler, you'd have to assume that there'd be a good number of people who would buy it just to own a Tumbler. Even if they prefer the black, they might get the camo just to have one at retail.
But now, people who only want to have a Tumbler will almost definitely go for the black, unless the camo is really improved. And probably by the time we find out that info, the black will already be at post-retail prices.
I'm happy for the black relaunch because I was not going to purchase the Camo, no matter how nice.
I don't want a Banemobile, I want the Batmobile!
I am very lucky with this relaunch.

Because of the Tumbler, I've come to the conclusion that 1/6th scale vehicles are just a bit too much for my collection. Cool? No doubt. But just way more than I need or can really deal with.
Dude. . .it's the Batmobile
Isn't this the Tumbler not Batmobile?
The price on the Batpod has skyrocketed, maybe I'll sell my Batpod and buy a Tumbler.
Jye soon you will be able to change your sigpic to "just bought!" im glad that this is being re released since a lot of freaks missed out at the time. I doubt I'll pick this up as I'm only really interested in the 89 mobile, but this is one sexy vehicle.
