Don't let the dust rest to long as there are dust mites that eat dust as it's mostly composed of exfoliated skin and they leave _____ matter. That's the sticking film you see on items that have had dust on them a while. That stuff will damage the surface.

That takes years and years though. You'd have to have layers upon layers of dust in a pretty disgusting environment.

I think his 2008 Tumbler would be fine if he didn't dust it in 4 years, granted the living area isn't a ____ hole.

So . . . . since the 89 Batmobile is releasing next year, 2nd quarter. How does this impact those of you who were only going to buy one or the other? Will you now get both?

I was always going to get both and that hasn't changed. Like I said in the other thread though you'd need 5 detolfs lined up to display these two side by side so space is certainly going to be a problem that I'm going to have to look into... I've got some ideas though

I've never had any interest in the Tumbler Batmobile. Not in 2008, not now. The '89 Batmobile is the only one I want and the only Batmobile I've ever been interested in.

However, after seeing today that the '89 Batmobile won't be out until May of NEXT year, something sort of went off in my brain like, "damn it, what am I going to do". Then I looked on Sideshow and saw the Tumbler and it's June/July 2012 release date. For a split second something sort of sparked and I thought about getting one to tide me over but that would be a waste to spend $500 on something I'm not interested in just to temporarily satisfy my desire to own the '89 Batmobile.

I'm sure Hot Toys and Sideshow thought of this as well with their marketing strategy. Try and get collectors to buy both by spacing them out so they don't have to necessarily choose.

LOL, I was thinking the same thing.

However I have always loved the TUmbler and while not as iconic as the 89 Batmobile, it would still look nice with my Batman and possibly Iron Monger haha.

as of now, i'm on the same boat. rather spend that cash on a vacation with my wife (so she'll let me buy the 89 batmobile next year)

Fair enough, my UK dealer has always had it down as August for it's release. Good job too as there's no way I'd be able to afford it around May not with the Joker PF coming out that time as well

Where did you hear that from? Because it always read (still does on the site) Limited Edition Est. Ship Date: May 2012

Edit: I'm actually liking the schedule adjustments. The Tumbler starts flex charging again in June (with shipment in August) and the 89 Batmobile next year gives me breathing room!
