Their first e-mail said this:

Hi - You currently have a preorder on file with us for the Batmobile (Tumbler) & 2" Batman Mez-Itz. Unfortunately, our order for this item was not filled by our supplier and we are unable to locate stock. We are sorry, but we will need to cancel your preorder. I'm very sorry for the problem on this item and apologize for the inconvenience.

And then i asked why and they said this:

BigBadToyStore makes every attempt to fill every single preorder we receive. However, there may be issues out of our control such as allocation, manufacturer cancellation, etc. that may affect our ability to fill all preorders. Please note that these issues rarely occur and we have a very good record of filling all customer preorders.

And on my account page it still shows up on my preorder list, but that's okay i found one on ebay for not much more with shipping and ebay bucks back...

So if I understand the board correctly this is a split shipment. When I placed my order on Jan 19 2012 the it will be shipped later this month. Newer orders are on back order

FYI BBTS just cancelled my preorder, had it for a few months too... So that sucks, not their fault, but i really want this piece

Mine is still there and I preordered mine a few months ago. BBTS emailed me saying that they still have it slated to ship at the end of the month but no specific date. And he's right it's still available for preorder on their website. The only thing that is sold out preorder is the bat-pod

i e-mailed them and they confirmed my preorder was cancelled, but yes it still shows up under my account as one of my preorders and is on their site, but still they said i'm out of luck...

I'm just curious how you found out it was cancelled? If it is still shows on your account and online for preorder and you had to email BBTS to confirm it was cancelled how did you find out? I'm just curious because I preordered mine from there and would like to know if it happened to mine

Ok, ordered this and the Batpod with Sideshow. It had to be done. I hated the fact that I missed on the first batch, so I know I would hate myself if I had missed on the second and possibly last release of the Tumbler.

I preordered the OC Batman form BBTS years ago. They cancelled mine after they saw that it was a hot seller. I was told that they did not get as many in as they thought they would. A couple of days later they had some available for over $100 more than my preorder. Needless to say, I do not use their site for preorders anymore.

I preordered the OC Batman form BBTS years ago. They cancelled mine after they saw that it was a hot seller. I was told that they did not get as many in as they thought they would. So they just cancel pre-orders in a random way???.. that's wrong .... they should supply all their pre-orders...

That is strange it might have something to do with why preorders like hawkeye and Nick fury have sold out maybe hot toys is revising their production numbers and retailers have to adjust for this in any case I think other retailers are still offering this

In the UK Play.com was sold out of pre-orders. I just got an email today saying they were opening up for pre-order slots. I would expect similar things would be happening in the US.

I guess each region gets assigned a limited number of models and they must either be some left over, they have increased production run or the original model numbers was not accurate and they are now confirming to retailers exactly the number they will get.

Most of my posts about he e-mails bbts sent me have to be approved by a moderator, but that has all the details, i was thinking the same thing about hot toys, with nick fury and hawkeye sold out, maybe we are returning to the old days?

Longtime lurker on the board, been collecting hot toys since 2006 or so... Missed the tumbler in 2008, even had a 60 dollar deposit at i think cornerstone, had to let it go, i think i even offered my deposit to a member on here but alas he was broke too, kinda sucks when you saw what that was going for on ebay a year later, when all i wanted was a giant tumbler I love the vehicle, if i'm stupid i might even buy the camo one next year too

Went the ebay route, the seller was cool, i paid 40 over bbts, which sucks but life goes on, and this one i'm pretty sure i won't sell anytime soon, but the seller said sideshow said he would get his 6 tumblers in two weeks, and they asked for his drop shipment addresses, which he said was a good sign, so i'm getting excited
