Just got back from Wal*Mart and got my copy on Blu-ray.

I just bought the regular edition.

Gonna go watch it now!

Just got back from Best Buy. There were almost 100 people in line with me, including a guy dressed like Joker!
Got the regular Blu-ray too, with the two figurines. My player is hooked up online and downloading an update. They must know Dark Knight is out.

Just got the BluRay. Just a slight disappointment. I've noticed the colors are less vibrant than in the Prologue on the Begins BluRay. I paused it on the up close shot of Joker when he says "Whatever doesn't kill you..." The changes are pretty evident when compared side by side. Perhaps the Prologue on the Begins disc was a rush job, and Nolan meant for it to look more muted.

Either way, I'm glad to have it!

I went to Best Buy and got the Joker Mask set on Blu-Ray. They were handing out Harvey Dent Buttons, but they were stupid and handing them out as people left instead of when they were entering. I missed out because of this

And to top things off, the Free Joker card advertised wasn't given out. When I asked about it, they told me it was in the DVD packaging. I believed them and left. What do you think was in there? A Joker card? Think again.

Luckily my receipt had a survey attached, so I gave them a piece of my mind. Exclusives and freebies are THE reason I went to Best Buy. Since they didn't have what they advertised, I was upset and told them to send me the item(s) they owed me.

I'm going to pick up my copy of TDK Batpod DVD set and the Joker Statuette tomorrow after work at Best Buy. Don't need to worry about it being sold out since I preordered it using the store pick-up option. Plus Best Buy is shipping a free movie poster to me since I had preordered through them.

Happy Batman day! Can't wait to pick up my copy on BluRay. Don't need any of the extra crap as it always gets tossed in a junk drawer. Got the surround speakers mounted just for tonight. Can't wait!

Do you guys put these digital copies of the movies on your computers? I just tried it for the first time(even though I have many of those digital copy discs that come with newer movies) and it's pretty cool. I don't have any portable devices, but it is nice to watch Dark Knight on my computer.
That way I'll have it in the background when I'm web surfing/chatting.

FYI, the digital copy version also has the switching aspect ratios like the Blu-ray.

I have been putting the digital copies on my PC as well, then load them up on my iPOD.

I'll probably put TDK on my PC in a bit...

Watched my copy last night, absolutely stunning and I didn't find the IMAX bits intrusive at all. Looked forward to seeing them, especially the tunnel chase, ^^^^ing amazing!

I am going back to return the standard Blu-ray since I bought the giftset with the cowl and have the batpod Blu-ray on order. I don't think I need 3 Blu-rays of TDK!

Should go back today, and tell them they forgot to give you a card. You may get a GC for your troubles since it was advertised. But they probably have stacks of cards in the back.


Did anyone go to FYE and pick up a steel book? Does it have 2 discs?

Nolan has had only one of his films that has ever had a deleted scene on the disc. It was Insomnia. It's just not his thing so I very seriously doubt we'll ever get anything else down the line other than a fancy repackage of the same stuff if they do release it again. He's very adamant and vocal about having what he wants as the picture we see in theaters and edits accordingly.

But knowing WB, they probably had him from putting in some deleted stuff/scenes like Jokers "breaking my one rule". This is why I don't buy DVDs off the bat anymore. The just released a new 'deluxe' ST for TDK too.
