This will be another one of those “Updated sculpt!” figure by HT, I’m sure. This thing at this price is atrocious. Even more so, it gives Inart a lot of leeway to counter with their TDK. Such a shame, when I read the announcement I thought it’d be a definite buy.

The armoury itself is the only thing that looks cool imo. The idea of the crossed arms Bale is different, but holy molly is he buffed… besides, I don’t know that’s the Bale we wanted. But maybe it’s the one we deserve.

HT should remember Alfred’s wise words when resuscitating product lines: You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.

Yeah there is something seriously wrong with the cowl. I honestly think it's worse than the DX19. Something with the eye hole, top of the head and the temple area doesn't look right.

Can't agree with you more, as the eyes on the armory Bat suit are WAY off, they're way too narrow, where as the eyes on the DX19 are 100% screen accurate.......

Compared to the movie costumes, I feel that DX19 has a higher level of accuracy in its design (excluding the neck area).

Does anyone else share my sentiment that the new version's arms are excessively long and bulky?

The arms are longer and thicker, the shoulders are broader, and the waist is narrower. As a result, I feel that the body proportions are inferior to those of DX19

Mainly has to do with them being the official distributor and also being a retailer. Sure they have great customer service but how they operate their business is not sustainable as it is not collector-friendly. I don't want to get into the details but their greed knows no bounds and they are going to pay for it if not already.

They're a distributor and a retailer. They're competing with stores they're supplying but their prices aren't the best. They have also penalized stores that have been offering better deals with HT which earned collectors' disdain towards them.

It’s not at all unusual for a distributor, or a manufacturer itself, to also act as retailer and compete with the same retailers they supply. There are not many products these days that you can’t buy from multiple points in the supply chain. It’s also entirely normal that retailers must maintain a certain price point as a condition of carrying a product(line), or else lose the ability to continue retailing that product.

I don’t have any skin in the game, I order typically from a wide range of etailers. So I’m not saying it’s right or wrong. I’m just saying there’s nothing out of the norm here.

Apologies if this has already been brought up but am I missing something? I don't see any pics that show this figure in Batman armor WITH the cowled head (you know, Batman). I see the empty suit in the armory, the non-articulated "Coach Bale" figure, and you can clearly put the Bale HS on the suited body - but no cowled HS with Bale inside?

Glad I’m not alone. The cowl looks so alien. I thought the DX19 looked better in their comparisons, the exact opposite of what Hot Toys wants to illustrate.

It ain’t ready. I asked in the store and they said maybe in 2-3 months there’ll be a proto/display of the whole thing. That’s what I understood anyway. They’ve rushed this out for pre-order for whatever reason.
