Sorry as I'm mostly away now since past few months, what's with OT?

P.S. I wanted to get his sculpt for this armory Bats but the deluxe version wasn't available on his site at that time and then I cancelled this figure, thanks to those SDCC or last year's WF photos. Will definitely get it once the TDK Armory releases.

He will more than likely make more with this TDKR release and then again when the TDK Armory is released.

EDIT: as for what’s with OT - his interactions with some fellow board members typically didn’t go down so great given his particular attitude. Some also feel his products didn’t/don’t demand the high cost he charges. From stories that I’ve heard (granted, I have no first hand experience) is that he can also be not so great at the customer service when he is past his deadlines and ppl start asking “where is my stuff?”

Thanks Gip. Really hoping deluxe version will be available to order again. I just checked and he's only selling standard version on his site. I don't know if he only sells standard version now or deluxe is just out of stock at the moment.

Just keep an eye out on his Instagram if you can. I’m more than sure he’ll post an update there on if/when more will be available. He’s probably just waiting until he gets this new version in hand to make any adjustments necessary to properly fit

Oh I see this happens a lot with other chinese custom artists as well. But thanks for updating me bud.

Oh that totally makes sense. And I believe this new Bats is much taller than DX19. Saw Figure Hideouts Chinese Channel review video posted here yesterday and he looked much taller standing right next to the new Artisan Joker in it.

I could easily buy it, man, it is really no problem. Credit where it is due, his HS are good looking. It's not worth more than a figure IMO, so there's that. I just can't stand ppl like that.

This release is awful. It's only worth it for the armory itself but maybe at a steep discount down the road. Thank heavens it was "delayed" and my NRD was refunded.

This was going to be my first Baleman figure too, but I cancelled it earlier this year and pre-ordered the TDK Armory 2.0 cause was really disappointed with those cons photos. I'd suggest you should consider it as well buddy. Much better offering and that Bruce isn't a statue like this one.

Really interesting that somehow, HT's efforts on their FIRST Clooney Batman looks more accurate to the source than their SEVENTH Bale TDK/TDKR Batman.

Put a fork in them, they're cooked.

Glad I got the Oaty HS for my QS019--I am now off the never-ending train of disappointing HT TDK releases.. They'd have to do something out of this world to top the QS019 with an Oaty sculpt.

There’s aspects to this updated version that OT can’t implement on a DX19 or QS19 if you care about accuracy.

The best option if you have to have this suit soon, would be to pick up one of these armory figures between TDK & TDKR, add an OT sculpt or wait and see if his is compatible or if he’ll have to produce a new version that works with this neck and add a custom cape.

I don’t see any of these production offerings ever matching his cowl, from any brand. Nor do I see any company offering a cape that rivals the customs.

One thing I do like about the HT TDKR Armory cowl, is the sculpted eyebrows inside of the eye cuts.

I agree, there's some things, like the improved bicep armor and chest piece that can't easily be surpassed by customizers, especially for accuracy with all the carbon fiber and translucent elements. But, whether the shoulder armor lays and futzes as well as OT's remains to be seen or if the new neck piece looks as natural etc. His cowl and faceplate/eyes are definitely unsurpassed.

Here's a look at a shot of the armory body/armor vs a DX19 with OT add ons. I mean the angle and futzing isn't perfect (especially on the armory body), but it gives an idea. I wonder if the armory carbon fiber elements are really that brown in real life?

They have yellowed/browned over time due to the natural aging process, but during filming it wasn’t as dark as the suit is now.

Yeah the carbon fiber doesn’t look quiet as brown in Sideshow’s unboxing. But still, a little too tan.

New belt color is a big improvement.
Still, I’m tired of the cheap materials they source for it.

I don’t understand what happened here
with the Bale likeness on the cowl sculpt,
They captured his eyes extremely well on this prototype, better than OT has. Now he genuinely looks like Todd McFarlane on the production piece, that was a spot on comparison.
It was extremely impressive that they managed to capture his eyes while using SERS, initially. Oh well. Why doesn’t Hot Toys commission a Bale sculpt by now.
