Really liked the movie. Felt that it was trying to be too sophisticated (pretentious) though. More so than the others.

Wish Hathaway Catwoman had more screen time, she was amazing.

I find it funny that a small knife can cut through Batman's secret, hundred-thousand-dollar, high-tech military suit. :lol

Not sure how he survived the nuclear explosion...unless Alfred was just daydreaming.

I wonder if JGL will get a Nightwing movie or something...

His suit has gaps in it. In TDK Fox even specifically tells Bruce that he will be vulnerable to knives if they got him between the armour plates - it's a nod to that

Nuclear explosion - my theory is that he ejected when he blew the building before going over the harbour. The shot of him in the cockpit 5 seconds before it blows is not in chronological order - Nolan does this often in his films.

I don't think so. Batman is shown in the cockpit after he blows the skyscraper. :lecture This is not inception even if it is the same director!

I agree Hathaway was perfect in this movie!

As far as surviving the explosion the Auto pilot on the Bat was talked about like 4 times during the movie, even in the end when fox was told that the auto pilot was fixed by bruce, its what he used to escape the explosion. IMO everything that Alfred saw in the end was real.

That has nothing to do with Inception :lol

Whichever way you look at it, there's no way he's in the cockpit 5 seconds before the blast.

Unless he's in an escape pod at that stage (and the cockpit is part of it).

I dont think he was in that cockpit 5 seconds prior to the explosion, it just showed the final seconds but not batman, could have been anytime after he was over the water.

I don't think he was in the cockpit 5 seconds prior either, but they SHOW him in the cockpit and then show 5 seconds left.

That's just tricky editing - that's my point.

gotcha yeah some good editing thats for sure, just saw it for the second time today but in IMAX, bigger fan of TDKR even more now.

I meant Nolan isn't trying to trick anyone here. Point is Batman is seen in the cockpit after he blows the skyscraper. He had to eject somewhere in the water just before heading out to sea.

But he IS using trick editing no matter how you look at it.

There is NO WAY that he was still in the cockpit 5 seconds before the bomb blows.

Whether he went in the water or ejected over the ground, that's not something anyone can prove.

Batman was in the cockpit past the harbor. We know this because we saw it. Using "clever editing" as an apologistic excuse doesn't work. Nolan could've just cut the cockpit bit out completely to sell the same point. Instead he intentionally shows this to tell the audience Batman was, in fact, in the cockpit 5 seconds prior to detonation. The ending of the film was self explanatory so if you're going to work out him surviving, it's gotta be over the water. It's also important to stress that this wasn't even close to a 50 megaton bomb. So take those 2 tidbits and start from there. Hint. :lol

Unless you don't believe your eyes, you're just psyching yourself out. There IS A WAY Batman is still in the cockpit after blowing the skyscraper! :lecture The way Nolan showed us! You can believe your eyes or come up with some alternative theory.

Much as I like Leo - this seems like it going to be one of the most overacted roles in recent memory :lol

Having seen the panel for this at comic-con and the trailer I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be. It's supposed to be over the top in almost every way.
